Audible Inc., the leading creator and provider of premium audio storytelling, today announced three scripted multi-cast Audible Original productions with Emmy winning Simpson Street Productions, helmed by Kerry Washington (Scandal, Little Fires Everywhere) and Simpson Street EVP and producer Pilar Savone (Django Unchained, Death Proof).

Plaza will be a series regular, in the role of Harper Spiller, a woman on vacation with her husband and his friends. Plaza joins the previously announced Michael Imperioli in the new season. Season one star Jennifer Coolidge is rumored to be returning, as well.

Joy Behar announced Goldberg's positive result as she filled in as moderator on the episode, alongside co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and guest-host Ana Navarro. Valleé was nominated for an Academy Award for directing the hit 2013 film Dallas Buyers Club, starring Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto. He also helmed Wild, starring Reese Witherspoon, with whom he would later reunite with on Big Little Lies, for which he earned an Emmy Award for directing. 

Didion's popular novels include Slouching Towards Bethlehem, Play It as It Lays, Run River, A Book of Common Prayer and The White Album. Didion's work was seen on the stage in 2007 with an adaption of her book The Year of Magical Thinking. The play was produced at the Booth Theatre and starred Vanessa Redgrave.

Michael Keaton has been confirmed to reprise his iconic Batman role in the new HBO Max Batgirl film. Keaton will star alongside the previously announced In the Heights star Leslie Grace, who will play Barbara Gordon, who takes on the role of Batgirl. Keaton will also play the Caped Crusader in the upcoming The Flash movie, starring Ezra Miller.

Il Divo singer Carlos Marín has passed away at the age of 53. María died on Sunday, December 19, after complications with COVID-19. Il Divo was formed by Simon Cowell in 2003 as a modern, Three Tenors-style quartet. The covered songs between opera and pop. María appeared with the group on Broadway during Il Divo's limited Broadway engagement.

Produced by Harvey Mason Jr. and John Legend, the film will incorporate jazz, funk, and soul music, mixed with the French Creole culture, voodoo magic, masquerade of Mardi Gras. It will follow a young ingenue who is mentored by a mysterious old man while singing in a New Orleans nightclub.

Bennett, who stars as Roxanne in the new musical film adaption of Cyrano, will reunite with the film's producer Joe Wright for Brood. The film is based on the novel by Jackie Polzin. Bennett had initially discovered the novel, bringing it to producer Molly Asher and then Wright.  A search for a director is currently underway.

On Stage will take a look back at the incredible life and career of legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, including tributes from members of the Broadway community such as Nathan Lane, Josh Groban, Mandy Patinkin, Donna Murphy, Laura Benanti, Joanna Gleason, Lonny Price, Raul Esparza and Michael Cerveris.

Spirited, an upcoming movie musical adaption of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, has added Sukari Jones, Khiyon Hursey and Mark Sonnenblick, as new songwriters to join Pasek and Paul in writing original music for the film. The cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, Octavia Spencer, and Sunita Mani.

Helen Mirren has been named the 57th recipient of SAG-AFTRA's highest tribute: the SAG Life Achievement Award. Mirren appeared as Queen Elizabeth II on Broadway in The Audience, a play by Peter Morgan, directed by Stephen Daldry,winning the 2015 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role

Jonah Hill has been announced to play Jerry Garcia in Martin Scorsese's upcoming Grateful Dead film for Apple. The Dead’s Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann will executive produce the film, reportedly giving Apple the right to use their music catalogue in the film.

Willis has joined Michelle Meredith and Laith Ashley in the new indie film, which recently wrapped production. The film follows future-divorcee Xan, played by Desiree Staples, as she gathers her closest friends in Joshua Tree to celebrate her upcoming split, only to reveal she intends to burn her divorce settlement money to start fresh.

As previously announced, Baz Luhrmann has cast Austin Butler as Elvis Presley in the film. Joining Butler and Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker are Olivia DeJonge, Gary Clark, Jr., Yola, Lenesha Randolph, Jordan Holland, Shonka Dukureh, Shannon Sanders, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Alton Mason.

While the show would not be a direct spinoff of the Ellen Degeneres Show, it would be the new Warner Bros. flagship daytime talk show once Degeneres' program concludes. The test run was recently shot on Ellen's stage and is currently being pitched to different television station groups.

How I Met Your Father follows Sophie (Hilary Duff) as she tells her son the story of how she met his father. Cattrall will recur as the future version of Sophie, joining Ashley Reyes, Josh Peck, Chris Lowell, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, Francia Raisa, and Suraj Sharma.
