An admirable, absurdly funny first full production of a brand new musical, WALTER PAISLEY, is perhaps one of the most enjoyable work-in-progress shows this reviewer has seen in a long time. This delightful world premiere production---filled with madcap antics and a humorously pulpy plot---continues in La Mirada through April 2, 2023.

The World Premiere of the “beatnik” horror comedy musical, DID YOU SEE WHAT WALTER PAISLEY DID TODAY? with book, music & lyrics by Randy Rogel, produced by Kevin Bailey/MB Artists, Inc., with musical direction by Andrew Orbison, musical supervision by Kimberly Grigsby, choreography by Connor Gallagher, and developed and directed by BT McNicholl opens tonight, March 18th, and will run through Sunday, April 2, 2023 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. Terre Blair Hamlisch joined the cast of The Nutty Professor on stage Saturday, August 6 at Ogunquit Playhouse to pay tribute to her late husband, Marvin Hamlisch, on the 10th anniversary of his passing. The Nutty Professor was the last stage musical that Marvin Hamlisch completed before the composer died.

The Nutty Professor is running through Saturday, August 6 at Ogunquit Playhouse. The musical adaptation of the beloved 1963 Jerry Lewis film comedy features the final score from Pulitzer Prize, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winner Marvin Hamlisch. Tin Pan Alley 2, a free concert series featuring new musical theatre works, will feature a panel of emerging writers on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 7:30pm. The November 2020 edition will be showcasing new works by three writers Tristen Moseley, Gabrielle Mirabella, and Stephen Wagener Bennett, and hosted by Durra Leung and Sam Rosenblatt.
