Nowadays it's quite common for a show to have '& Friends' in it's title. I don't know if Broadway Producer and entertainer Jamie deRoy invented the concept, but over the last 30 years she sure has perfected the inclusion of having her uber talented friends perform in Jamie deRoy & friends variety shows. In fact, some folks must think '& friends' is Jamie's last name, she has an impressive contact list (remember rollodex).

Nigel Lilley serves as Music Director, part of a team who have worked alongside Stephen Sondheim and Jonathan Tunick on this production. Taking us back to his early experiences of Sondheim, Nigel also shares what it means to work with him and Jonathan today.

On Friday 29 March, 6.10pm - 6.50pm, at the Olivier Theatre, the National Theatre will host Stephen Sondheim in conversation to accompany the currently running production of Follies.

The meticulous care of the National Theatre's production is continued in the soundtrack recording, demonstrating the collaborative brilliance of orchestrations from Jonathan Tunick and Josh Clayton, music supervision from Nicholas Skilbeck, and musical direction from Nigel Lilley - the latter conducting an exceptionally disciplined and articulate 21-piece orchestra.

Founders of the Hope Aria Academy in Manchester, Katy Lipson, Joseph Houston and William Whelton, are delighted to announce that actress Hayley Tamaddon will be the Academy's Patron. Hayley has appeared in Closets the Musical at Hope Mill Theatre and sang at the theatre's recent third birthday celebrations. She is currently starring in Everyone's Talking About Jamie in London's West End. The National Theatre has announced its upcoming lineup for the first half of 2019.

AN EVENING WITH STEPHEN SCHWARTZ, a showcase of the multi-award-winning American lyricist and composer's best loved repertoire, will occur on Sunday 17 February. Katy Lipson of Aria Entertainment and Joseph Houston and William Whelton of Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester are delighted to announce Hope Aria Productions' 2019 Season. The Season will open on 2 March with the UK premiere of a new version of the Stephen Schwartz musical RAGS. From 27 September, Tracie Bennett will star in the title role in Jerry Herman's much loved musical MAME, and the season will be completed by a new musical, THE ASTONISHING TIMES OF TIMOTHY CRATCHIT, from 22 November.
