Dancers over 40 presents a one-night-only special event: Our One and Only: A Celebration of Tommy Tune on Monday, November 15th, 8pm at the Actors' Temple Theatre in NYC, to kick off publication of DO40 member Kevin Winkler's new book, Everything is Choreography, The Musical Theater of Tommy Tune (in stores and online Nov. 15th). 

Tour members meet on the Flying Opera Magic Carpet for a week of American and international performances. Our first stop is at San Francisco Opera, for Fidelio by Ludwig van Beethoven online October 14, 17, and 30, 2021. Cost- $25.

Door Shakespeare Producing Artistic Director Michael Stebbins and Managing Director Amy Ensign announces the Autumn Door Shakespeare Reading Series offering: I Hate Hamlet by Paul Rudnick. I Hate Hamlet will be presented on Monday, October 18 at 7 p.m. at the Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin.

The Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Dr. in Lincolnshire, presents THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, the delightful musical revue featuring the works of John Kander and Fred Ebb, considered one of the most prolific and acclaimed Broadway musical creative teams of all time.

Audiences are taken on a journey through Kander and Ebb's virtual hit parade of songs including showstoppers “Cabaret,” “New York, New York,” “All That Jazz,” and “Maybe This Time.” The revue also covers numbers from Chicago, Funny Lady, Kiss of The Spider Woman, Woman of The Year and more.

Thom Schilling, the general manager, production supervisor and stage manager for dozens of Broadway, Off-Broadway and global tours for over 40 years, died in his sleep on August 19 in New York City. The cause of death is not presently known. Born in 1956, Thom was 64 years old.

Roshunda Jones of G.W. Carver Magnet High School in Houston and Holly Stanfield of Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin, are the dual recipients of the second annual Stephen Schwartz Musical Theatre Teacher of the Year Award presented by The ASCAP Foundation and the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA).
