Review: THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA, The Other Place, Stratford upon Avon

Joanna Bowman brings Shakespearean Italy to The Other Place at the RSC with her new production of his first play, The Two Gentlemen of Verona. At a pacy 90 minutes (without an interval) and set in the round, the play is reimagined for the present day with a talented cast of actor-musicians - an ideal way to introduce old and new alike to this piece of work.

Guest Blog: Writer Martin Landry on Creativity, Work Ethic and Fish CPR in FUN AT THE BEACH ROMP-BOMP-A-LOMP

As I write this, I'm in a rehearsal room with an immensely talented group of creative people - people who have dedicated their lives to the study and creation of theatre - figuring out what it looks like to revive a fish from the dead. You would not believe the variety of ways one can go about this. If you have some free time, and are absolutely certain you're alone, you should see how many you can come up with. It's fun!

BWW Review: CLUEDO, Richmond Theatre

Was it Professor Plum in the library with the dagger? To many of us, the board game Cluedo is a family staple, but director Mark Bell’s play takes more of its influence from the 1985 American film Clue. The play retains the characters, weapons and location of a spooky manor house and turn it into a pacey farce that both amuses and frustrates.

CLUEDO Comes to the Belgrade Next Month

Next month, the Belgrade Theatre welcomes a hilarious new whodunnit spoof to its Main Stage. Cluedo is based on the classic board game of the same name, and the 1985 film Clue, and runs from Mon 14 – Sat 19 March, starring EastEnders and Coronation Street legend Michelle Collins as Miss Scarlett.

THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG Returns To The Belgrade Next Month

Follow the (fictional) Cornley Drama Society as they put on a 1920s murder mystery, 'The Murder at Haversham Manor'. As the title suggests, everything that can go wrong … does! As the accident prone thesps battle against all the odds to reach their final curtain call, hilarious results ensue!
