The 92nd Street Y, New York will present An Evening with Laura Benanti, a one-night-only concert of musical theater and personal favorites with the Tony Award-winner.

Though the revival of Merrily We Roll Along ended its limited Broadway run in 2024, the show will live on in the form of the new filmed version, now in theaters. To celebrate the release of the hit Stephen Sondheim musical, we are taking a look back at the storied careers of its three leading stars, including Tony Award-winner Lindsay Mendez.

Not many directors could helm a blockbuster stage adaptation of a hit film starring George Clooney, the Broadway transfer of a dark and quirky musical about a Dead Outlaw, and an off-Broadway meditation on the root and consequences of AI all in the span of four months. If anyone could, however, it would certainly be David Cromer, who achieved that impressive feat last spring. Rocketed to fame by his revelatory 2009 production of Our Town, he has become one of New York’s most in-demand directors, noted for his versatility, sensitivity, and ability to create theatrical magic. 

Tony Award winning Laura Benanti, will make her London debut on Tuesday 2 September at Underbelly Boulevard Soho transferring direct from a sold-out run at Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her one-woman comedy show Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares. BroadwayWorld had a quick catch up with Laura ahead of the show.

Following its debut on PBS's Great Performances in May, the official proshot of Broadway's Girl From the North Country will be making its way to physical media in the UK.

Undermain Theatre will present a special encore presentation of  An Iliad by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare from the Robert Fagles translation of Homer. This limited engagement runs June 12 through June 29, 2025.
