Rising youth a cappella group Squad Harmonix has released a new cover single and music video for the song “Stand Up” originally sung by Cynthia Erivo from the film Harriet. This cover is a tribute to being strong allies to the Black community and aims to give a message of empowerment during a time of intense divisiveness and civil unrest.

Tsemaye is a Nigerian-born, London-based West End performer. She most recently starred in the World Premiere of a?oeTina: The Tina Turner Musicala?? at the Aldwych Theatre where she performed as Alline Bullock/Ikette, also understudying and performing the role of Tina Turner. Other credits include Janelle Woods/The Shirelles in Beautiful:The Carole King Musical also at Aldwych Theatre. Trustus Theatre will host FEST24: Homecoming online in October. This virtual experience will provide a new take on the theatre's popular 24-hour theatre event that was last presented in 2018 for a standing-room-only public performance. Six playwrights, six directors, and twenty-four actors will produce six new virtual one-acts over the course of three weekends.

Ho avuto il piacere di assistere a più di una presentazione del libro La Storia Della Discomusic, edito dalla Hoepli e scritto da Andrea Angeli Bufalini e Giovanni Savastano. Ogni volta sentendo parlare delle mitiche canzoni e degli artisti che hanno fatto la storia di questo intramontabile genere, mi sono ritrovato a pensare a Broadway e ai musical che, soprattutto negli ultimi anni hanno ripetutamente pescato nel repertorio di quel magico periodo musicale.
