Broadway newcomer Nichelle Lewis will star as “Dorothy” and lead the cast of The Wiz in the national tour this fall and Broadway return in the Spring of 2024.  Ms. Lewis who hails from Virginia was discovered via a TikTok video, and selected from more than 2,000 submissions for the coveted role.

The Classical Theatre of Harlem, a staple of artistic excellence in New York City for over two decades, announces its summer production of Malvolio, an irreverent comedy written by Mellon Foundation Playwright in Residence Betty Shamieh, as a sequel inspired by Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

Broadway Records announced today that the world premiere recording of CLEOPATRA The Musical Experience, will be released digitally and in stores on Friday, July 12, 2019. The album is currently available for pre-order at BroadwayRecords.com and on Amazon.

Producer Nathaniel Hill announced completed casting today for CLEOPATRA, a unique Off-Broadway immersive musical experience which will begin an open-ended residency at Chelsea Music Hall (407 W 15th Street), a new venue opening underneath Chelsea Market. Directed and choreographed by JT Horenstein, the new pop musical features music and lyrics by Jeff Daye and lyrics by Laura Kleinbaum. The premier offering of the new venue, which will officially open to the public in October, CLEOPATRA will begin performances on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 with an official opening night on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Tickets are now on sale.

Dozens of Broadway and music celebs joined Leslie Becker last Thursday at The Vanity in NYC for the celebration of her debut single release SLOW BURN. Guests were treated to a live performance by Leslie which included 'Slow Burn' and the first performance of her new single 'Confidential,' featuring dancers Timothy Wilson and Anthony Alfaro. Music soars in Mary Zimmerman stage adaptation of "The Jungle Book" entering its final week at the Huntington Theatre Company in Boston, but this new theatrical version based on the Kipling and Disney classics is ultimately unfulfilling, needing more depth and heart.
