Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has announced principal casting for their forthcoming production of the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical Once On This Island (10 May-10 June, press night 17 May 2023), along with the creative team.

Following critically acclaimed, sold-out engagements in the UK, the reimagined 50th Anniversary tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is coming to Overture Center for the Arts from Tuesday, Feb. 21 through Sunday, Feb. 26.

The 50TH Anniversary Tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR ~ presented as a rock concert, with moments that truly excite and exhilarate, to be experienced in the way Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber had always wanted. At ASU Gammage in Tempe AZ through February 5th.

Casting has been announced for the next season of the Olivier Award-winning production of Regents Park Open Air Theatre’s Jesus Christ Superstar. The tour will begin the 2022-2023 season on October 8 at the River Center for the Performing Arts in Columbus, GA and go on to play over 45 cities.

The American Theatre Guild will present the reimagined 50th Anniversary tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. This production is a part of the BROADWAY IN TOLEDO SERIES and will take the Stranahan Theater stage October 13–16, 2022.

The American Theatre Guild has announced single tickets to five engagements in the 22–23 BROADWAY IN TOLEDO SERIES will go on sale Wednesday, September 14 at 10 a.m. All engagements will be held at the Stranahan Theater.

In theory, Dodie Smith’s well-loved story of 101 Dalmatians is the perfect material for Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. In practise the production lacks bite.

When JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR first premiered in 1972, it was banned by the BBC for being “sacrilegious.” The musical, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, imagines the last week in the life of Jesus Christ in the form of a sung-through rock opera. The tour currently at DPAC plays into the rock side of the musical.
