Bucks County Playhouse has announced “Never Let Go” as the first show of the 2022 Visiting Artist Series. Performed by Michael Kinnan, “Never Let Go” is a one-man marvel, Burlesque-style show that hysterically and ingeniously retells James Cameron’s three-hour-plus blockbuster film as a one-hour play.

The production commits the cardinal sin in storytelling, telling instead of showing. This stripped, dispassionate presentation is particularly frustrating because there are moments in which the story peeks through the delivery, and we get a glimmer of something fascinating, but the story is too many times removed to make an emotional connection.
