This fall, the Chicago Humanities Festival is bringing some of the biggest names in film, politics, music, literature, and activism to stages across Chicago for entertaining, inspiring, and provocative conversations addressing the theme of “PUBLIC” and how we are all re-imagining our public lives.

Pumpkin spice laughter is in the air this fall as legendary Chicago comedy institution The Second City is unleashing a lineup of interactive, laugh-out-loud shows on their stages all season long. 

The hit animated musical series Central Park is back with its third season! BroadwayWorld caught up with stars Emmy Raver-Lampman and Josh Gad, who teased what to expect from the new season and what musical numbers they are most excited for audiences to see. Watch the new video interview now!

 The Second City has announced that, for the first time in the iconic comedy company’s 62-year history, an Artistic Advisory Board has been formed to help promote and secure the organization’s success for the next 62 years and beyond.

Legendary Chicago comedy institution The Second City has announced the creation of The Victor Wong Fellowship, a program to train and mentor up-and-coming comedians. Named after The Second City's first Asian American performer and funded by Peng Zhao, CEO of Citadel Securities, and his wife, Cherry Chen, the fellowship will focus on developing the next generation of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) talent. 

Peacock has released the trailer for the highly-anticipated second season of Girls5Eva, starring Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell, and Busy Philipps. The new season will also feature James Monroe Iglehart, Grey Henson, Judy Gold, Mario Cantone, Andrew Rannells, Ashley Park, Daniel Breaker, Erika Henningsen, and more.

Rehearsal for Life, a non-profit leader in Boston-area's creative youth development sector, has announced its new Banned in Boston musical to be presented virtually on April 14, 2022 at 7pm.

The Second City Film School, the legendary launching pad for the biggest names in improv and comedy, today announced a partnership with the Catalyst Story Institute, a nonprofit that helps creators of every age and background find traditional and nontraditional outlets for the content they develop. 

Legendary Chicago comedy institution The Second City is proud to announce the cast and crew of The Second City’s 110th Mainstage Revue. Resident stage and Second City Touring Company director Jen Ellison (Apes of Wrath) will make her Mainstage directorial debut with an ensemble that includes Together at Last returning members Evan Mills and Musical Director Jeff Bouthiette.

Chicago Theatre Week (#CTW22), an annual celebration of the rich tradition of theatre-going in Chicago during which visitors and residents can access value-priced tickets, returns for its 10th year and will take place February 17-27, 2022.

Chicago Humanities Festival announces its first program of 2022: a conversation between Bob Odenkirk and Tim Meadows.

The Second City returns to the McAninch Arts Center just in time for the holidays with “It's a Wild, Wacky, Wonderful Life” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12.

Reprising their roles from the 2019-2020 season are Danielle Wade as Cady Heron, Megan Masako Haley as Gretchen Wieners, Jonalyn Saxer as Karen Smith, Mary Kate Morrissey as Janis Sarkisian, Eric Huffman as Damian Hubbard, Adante Carter as Aaron Samuels, Kabir Bery as Kevin G. and Lawrence E. Street as Mr. Duvall.
