Vancouver International Film Festival 2020 (VIFF) is delighted to announce the complete programming lineup for the Contemporary World Cinema and True North film series for its 39th edition.

TIFF Co-Heads Cameron Bailey and Joana Vicente today announced the lineup of titles selected for the 45th Toronto International Film Festival.

TIFF announced today that the 45th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, taking place September 10–19, is tailored to fit the moment, with physical screenings and drive-ins, digital screenings, virtual red carpets, press conferences and industry talks.

The Hunt (based on the 2012 Danish film by Thomas Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm) is a tense, uncomfortable watch, due both to the subject matter and the production. A false accusation against a teacher quickly spirals out of control, making for an uneasy but affecting evening at the theatre.

Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold directs The Hunt by David Farr, based on the critically acclaimed Danish film thriller Jagten, by Thomas Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the New York premiere of SEA WALL / A LIFE with a Joseph Papp Free Preview performance on Friday, February 1. Written by Simon Stephens and Nick Payne respectively, and directed by Carrie Cracknell, SEA WALL / A LIFE will run through Sunday, March 31 in The Public's Newman Theater with an official press opening on Thursday, February 14. SEA WALL / A LIFE features Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Sturridge in their Public Theater debuts.

 The 30th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) announced that the festival's opening night will be the screening of All is True directed by Kenneth Branagh on Friday, January 4.  The festival will close with Ladies in Black, directed by Bruce Beresford on Sunday, January 13. The Festival will screen 223 films from 78 countries, including 48 premieres (4 World, 13 North American and 31 U.S.) from January 3-14, 2019.  The line-up includes a focus on cinema from France, India and Mexico, Premieres, Talking Pictures, Book to Screen, Special Presentations, FLOS: Foreign Language Oscar Submissions, Gay!La, Local Spotlight, Modern Masters, True Stories, World Cinema Now, a 30-film retrospective of selections from past festivals (free screenings sponsored by Desert Care Network and National Endowment for the Arts), and more.   

'The Girl in the Spider's Web' will premiere at the 13th Rome Film Fest. The festival's opening night film will be 'Bad Times at the El Royale.' Other films in the lineup include Steve Carell and Timothée Chalamet's 'Beautiful Boy,' 'Halloween,' and 'The Miseducation of Cameron Post.' See the full lineup below!

Miami New Drama at Colony Theatre is pleased to announce the return of A Special Day,the critically acclaimed, award winning playco-starring and co-directed by Ana Graham and Antonio Vega. Based on Ettore Scola's 1977 Oscar-winning Italian film Una Giornata Particolare, A Special Day introduces the life-changing encounter between an overworked housewife and a mysterious bachelor.

New Century Theatre Company (NCTC) closes out its first season at 12th Avenue Arts with a powerhouse family drama adapted by David Eldridge from the Danish film The Celebration. The Company has wanted to produce Festen for many years and it will be NCTC's biggest production yet. Festen will be directed by Tony Award nominee Wilson Milam and the cast will feature the work of ten Company Members.
