David Gilna's 'A Bolt From D'Blue' will be presented at The Viking Theatre for a three week run from the 31st January - February 18th 2023.

The winners have been announced for the 2022 BroadwayWorld Dallas Awards, honoring the best in regional productions, touring shows, and more which had their first performance between October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

Squint Theatre has announced the publication of a collection of plays and theatre-making tools by Methuen Drama, an imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing. Theatre Peckham are pressing replay on the critically acclaimed production of Sunny Side Up written and performed by David Alade (The Fisherman: National Tour, The Fields: Sky, Casualty: BBC). Following on from its sold-out run at Peckham Fringe in 2022, this lyrical piece, blending drama and poetry, transfers to the main stage for a three-week run.

I​​​​​​​n a frank and honest depiction of self-harm based on personal experience, writer and performer Aoife Kennan celebrates survival, healing and the importance of friendship in a show filled with heart and humour. Scratches aims to talk about the hard stuff without sensationalising, and add a bit of self-deprecating comedy without trivialising.

Award-winning Off-Broadway theater, Urban Stages, will present a special presentation of Casting Aspersions: The Backstage Tales of a Casting Director, written and performed by Jeffery Passero, and directed by Elizabeth Hayden. It will begin performances January 27 - 30 at Urban Stages (259 West 30, 2023)

Milky Way Theatre Company is opening a festival of three new works in staged reading format starting January 12.

Second Thought Theatre has announced Parker Davis Gray as the organization's new Executive Director. Gray was selected for the position by the STT Board of Directors and staff in late October 2022, and, with the new year now in full swing, joins the STT staff in the newly developed role in earnest.

Theatre Three starts 2023 with The Elephant Man on the Norma Young Arean Stage. Written by Bernard Pomerance and directed by T3 Artistic Director Jeffrey Schmidt, this dark, biographical classic tells the story of John Merrick, an intelligent and friendly man shunned by Victorian-era society and called a “freak” due to his skin and bone disorders.

Nutley Little Theatre presents Gross Indecency: the Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, By Moisés Kaufman, directed by L.A. Mars.  

Three Brothers Theatre has announced the cast for their world premiere production by resident playwright Zack Peercy (he/him). The new play is a mockumentary theatre piece and the absurdly long title should speak to the genre: The Meaningful Action Theatre Company Presents A Workshop Reading of 'Muffed: A Recounting of Farmington, Maine's 43rd Annual Chester Greenwood Day Devised by the Members of the Meaningful Action Theatre Company'.
