Through Winnie and her relationship with husband Willie, the play explores a world that appears to consist of pointless or misunderstood communication, that seems to lack purpose and direction, and yet, reminds us that in the midst of despair, we survive, find inner strength, and continue to look for hope and salvation.

Directed by Tamilla Woodard (Hadestown Broadway associate director), previews begin Off-Broadway on Friday, January 31 at WP Theater with an opening night of February 11, 2020. The limited engagement at WP Theater will run through March 1, 2020 before playing Baltimore Center Stage April 2-26.

Retablos: Stories from A Life Lived Along the Border runs February 22 -March 15, in the Z Below Theater in San Francisco. Following the Playhouse on Park production, Merrilee Mannerly: A Magnificent New Musical will play an open-ended run in New York City, opening in the spring of 2020.
Skylight Music Theatre today announced the cast and creative team for Ruddigore, or The Witch's Curse, presented January 3-19, 2020 in collaboration with Milwaukee Opera Theatre. Skylight celebrates its long history of producing the works of W.S. Gilbert (book and lyrics) and Arthur Sullivan (music) with an imaginatively reinvigorated production of this classic gothic operetta. Ruddigore will be performed in a special, limited run in the Studio Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.

Renaissance Theaterworks welcomes Lucia Lozano as the organization's Marketing Director. Lozano joins the organization with over 25 years of experience in Marketing and Communications. Lozano will lead all external communications and brand management with an emphasis on direct marketing, public relations and social media, as the organization prepares for a larger space and new growth opportunities at the Next Act Theatre building, opening their 2020-2021 season.
Luna Stage will present a benefit performance of Ami Brabson's newest cabaret A Change is Gonna Come on Saturday, December 14th. Doors open at 6:30 PM for wine and mingling. Brabson's performance at 7:30 will be followed by live music, dessert, drinks, and coffee.
When German star, comedian Max Ehrlich, and his best friend, composer Willy Rosen were caught in Holland in 1942 and sent to the Westerbork Transit Camp, the commandant recognized Max and made him an offer he couldn't refuse: Every Monday night before the train leaves for Auschwitz the next morning, Max and Willy will do a cabaret. IF they are funny, they do it next week. If not - they are on the train. What followed was 18 months of the funniest cabaret in all of Europe!
