MAC-Award nominees Moy-Borgen and Bourne bring back the show that got them those nominations.

BARD AT THE GATE – the digital theater play series begun at the height of the pandemic – has announced that BARD creator and co-curator Paula Vogel is one of seven performers in the cast of Jose Rivera’s SONNETS FOR AN OLD CENTURY, debuting December 1 at 7:30 p.m. (eastern).

On December 10, 11, 12, The Public Theatre will present “A Very Ida Christmas”, a delightful holiday show from the creators of Ida: Woman Who Runs With the Moose!  Come on over to Ida's for the best Christmas ever as she shares the inside scoop on the do's and don'ts of holiday decorating, an update on her latest craft projects, and the hilarious secret in her Not-So-Secret Santa plan.

Two-time Grammy nominee and Theater World Award winner Conrad Ricamora (“How to Get Away With Murder,” The King & I, Here Lies Love, Soft Power) will star as Seymour in the three-time Best Musical Revival Award-winning production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS beginning January 11, 2022.

Actor/writer Tulis McCall adds singer to her list of talents with her newest show, Tulis Talks and Sings, which returns, after its debut in October, to the nightclub stage at Don’t Tell Mama in December and January.

Julianne Boyd, Founder and Artistic Director of Barrington Stage Company, has announced plans to retire at the end of the 2022 season. The Board of Trustees is conducting a national search for her successor, who will assume leadership in the fall of 2022.

For the first time in 21 months, Merrimack Repertory Theatre will return to The Nancy L. Donahue Theatre for indoor performances when it presents a world premiere holiday comedy, The Rise and Fall of Holly Fudge by Trista Baldwin, from November 26 to December 12, according to Artistic Director Courtney Sale and Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas.

The Public Theatre’s production of Dan Clancy’s MIDDLETOWN proves a clever way to maneuver the company back into production after the pandemic pause. The four-character comedy-drama, designed to be performed without scenery or costumes by actors who read from scripts at podiums, requires a minimalist production and asks the audience to concentrate only on the characters’ journey from kindergarten to old age. That story, as directed by Janet Mitchko, is sweetly funny and warmly heartfelt.
