The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT) is holding auditions in August for two MainStage productions in their 100th Season!

POPPER'S PENGUINS on Sunday, May 19th at 1PM.  Based on the novel by Richard and Florence Atwater and featuring music and lyrics by George Howe, book by Robert Kauzlaric, this production is directed by Lori B. Lawrence, TGS's Director of Educational Programming with Musical Direction by Stephen Fox and Choreography by Jillian Petrie.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of The Wiz on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the November Theatre/Arenstein Stage, 114 West Broad Street. The show will run through Sunday, August 4, 2019.

On April 30, The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT), The Educational Theatre Foundation (ETF), in partnership with New York City-based iTheatrics and Music Theatre International (MTI), will present the 2019 JumpStart Theatre Showcase at the Taft Theatre in downtown Cincinnati.

The Fort Wayne Youtheatre's adaptation of TREASURE ISLAND will be published by Theatrefolk in May of this year. Originally performed at the Parkview Physicians Group ArtsLab in October of 2018, TREASURE ISLAND was adapted from its source material by executive artistic director Todd Espeland.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to present a staged reading of award-winning playwright John Glore's Creep. This staged reading is being directed by Artistic Director Oanh Nguyen as part of Chance Theater's OTR New Works Series. Marissa Follo Perry received the surprise of a lifetime onstage at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport CT, on Sunday, April 7 at the final curtain call for SISTER ACT.

Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison's first novel comes to life at the Wells Theatre. The Bluest Eye, directed by Khanisha Foster, follows the story of young Pecola in 1940's Ohio who is pregnant at her father's hands. She is taken in by a loving family and cared for by brilliant and kind sisters, Frieda and Claudia. The character-driven play, both poetic and daringly funny, illuminates the destructive powers of racism and class dynamics while exploring the power of community through exquisite storytelling. The Bluest Eye is produced in collaboration with Norfolk State University Theatre Company.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the company of the second production of the 2018/19 Children's Season, Huck and Tom and the Mighty Mississippi, opening Today, January 25, 2019, at the Children's Theatre at Willow Lawn. Based on the classic adventure novels by Mark Twain, follow our young heroes, Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, in a footstompin' musical adventure down the Mississippi River.
