Adhyâropa Records has announced the release date of Standards on Snare, Mandolin, and Bass Clarinet, an album of jazz standards by trio Jason Berger, Jacob Jolliff and Alec Spiegelman. Three Brooklynites, mandolin virtuoso Jacob Jolliff that you may have heard with Bela Fleck and the Yonder Mountain String Band.

Responding to demand and with a hotly anticipated, sold-out Australia and New Zealand tour on the horizon, Paramore will play a third and final show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Thursday 30 November. Joining Paramore and Remi Wolf in Auckland will be And That, the solo project of New Zealand-born, LA-based singer-songwriter Scott Cleary.

Count on the Festival to get the conversation started with Social Impact Films and Q&As including: Environmental Sustainability, Fighting Government Oppression, Individuals with Disabilities and Inclusion, PTSD in the Military,  Native American Issues, LGBTQAI+ Rights, Opioid Crisis and other topics affecting our world and our communities.

Gettysburg Community Theatre will announce their 2024 Season during their Mostly Broadway Cabaret on Friday, September 22, 2023. The performance will be led by Award-Winning NYC Cabaret Pianist, Ricky Ritzel. Learn more about the event here!

Douglas D. Cooper (Leo) and Aaron Trusky (Jack) took on the difficult roles of being Shakespearean actors portraying women to con a dying woman and still have the audience cheer for them. Their strong acting skills and comedic timing make this show hilarious. This ensemble cast works well together to pull off the physical comedy and slap-stick humor.

Mozart received the commission for this requiem under mysterious circumstances, a “messenger in black” brought the request and then refused to divulge who had sent him. The identity of the person commissioning the work was eventually revealed to be that of Count Franz von Walsegg, as he had recently lost his wife and wanted to commemorate her with a requiem - however, as Mozart didn’t start working on it until October 1791 (three months after the commission was sent), it remained unfinished upon his death in December that year. Several of Mozart’s pupils were charged with completing the composition, though the bulk of this work fell to Franz Xaver Süssmayr.

Today’s subject Erin Davie is currently living her theatre life in Signature Theatre’s excellent production of Jason Robert Brown and Marsha Norman’s The Bridges of Madison County in which she plays the lead role of Francesca. The production continues through September 17th in Signature’s MAX space.
