Playwright Mike Barroga's latest work will bow October 13 and 14 at the MKM Cultural Arts Center in the NoHo Arts District.

Performing and visual artists are banding together in Save NYSSSA Now to relaunch arts programming for talented high school students in the 52-year old New York Summer School for the Arts, known as NYSSSA. Despite an even greater need for student expression, the program has not been scheduled for 2024.

First Stage will kick off its 2023/24 season with the world premiere production DREAM, QUICKIE! DREAM!, a story for all ages inspired by the life of Donald 'Quickie' Driver, written by playwright Gloria Bond Clunie and directed by popular Milwaukee actor/producer/director Dimonte Henning.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present French-Canadian chanteuse Myriam Phiro as she celebrates her new album Becoming Marlene Dietrich, a tribute to the trailblazing movie, music and style icon, on Friday, October 6 at 7pm.

The new video trailer teases appearances from Abby Lee Miller, former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub, and Tiger King celebrity Carole Baskin. The cast includes  Anfisa Arkhipchenko, Shake Chatterjee, Johnny Bananas, Jonny Fairplay, Bobby Lytes, Corinne Olympios, OMAROSA, Tiffany Pollard, Jax Taylor, and Tanisha Thomas.

Joni Mitchell has unveiled a never-before-heard song “Like Veils Said Lorraine” from the forthcoming Joni Mitchell Archives, Vol. 3: The Asylum Years (1972-1975). Mitchell wrote “Like Veils Said Lorraine” and recorded it as a demo in late 1971/early 1972 at A&M Studios in Hollywood, CA. Watch the visualizer video for the song now!

Exciting news for fans of JAGGED LITTLE PILL! The North American tour of the Broadway musical has added three talented performers to its cast. Julie Reiber, Benjamin Eakeley, and Teralin Jones will be joining the production. Learn where the show is playing and how to purchase tickets!

A new musical inspired by Nashville's Bluebird cafe, where artists including Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill played early in their careers, is being developed for the stage. 

Top nominees include first-time nominee Jelly Roll with five nominations, while Luke Combs and HARDY collect four nominations each. Jordan Davis, Ashley McBryde, producer/mix engineer Joey Moi, songwriter/producer Jordan Schmidt, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen and musician/producer Derek Wells secure three nominations apiece.

The Lion King will welcome Vincent Jamal Hooper as Simba beginning Tuesday, September 26. This marks his Broadway debut. Learn more about Hooper and The Lion King here!

Premiere Stages' production of Sylvia Khoury's play Selling Kabul will begin performances this week in Kean University's Bauer Boucher Theatre Center (Vaughn Eames Hall, 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.). Selling Kabul was a finalist for the 2022 Pulitzer in Drama and this production serves as the New Jersey Premiere.

Westport Country Playhouse will present “I'll Drink to That! A Broadway Cocktail Hour,” on Friday, September 22, at 6 p.m., in the Playhouse courtyard and Lucille Lortel White Barn Center, adjacent to the theater.
