BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present renowned pianist and singer Billy Stritch and award-winning jazz vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli in the return of their special show “Mel and Ella Swing!” on Monday, June 5 at 7:00 PM.

THE AMERICAN POPULAR SONG SOCIETY will honor the legendary Marilyn Maye at their “Second Annual Benefit Evening” on Monday, June 12 at 6:00 PM at Theater 555.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the New York solo concert debut of Brittney Johnson – who made history as the first Black actress to play “Glinda” in Broadway’s Wicked – on Monday, May 1 at 7:00 PM.

The American Popular Song Society will present their second annual benefit evening, this year honoring Marilyn Maye.

“CASHINO,” the long-running LA and NYC cult hit made it’s debut at Birdland for one night only on Monday, April 3. Susie Mosher (Hairspray and host of Birdland’s “The Lineup”) and recording artist John Boswell starred as Pepper Cole and Johnny Niagra in the special concert version of the critically acclaimed multimedia musical show. The 37th MAC Award Winners were announced Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at a LIVE ceremony at NYC's Symphony Space. As previously announced, KEN PAGE and RICKY RITZEL received Lifetime Achievement Awards and JILLIAN LAURAIN received the Hanson Award.
