NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD! THE MUSICAL!, a sidesplitting rock musical comedy sendup of the legendary zombie film, will be live in concert for one night only, Sunday October 28th, 8:30pm, at Don't Tell Mama.

While the exact location of composer Ben Green, lyricist Greg Edwards and bookwriter Allan Rice's funny and frothy new musical dating adventure, Neurosis, is never revealed, it's a safe bet that New Yorkers, who have glamorized and romanticized neurotic tendencies into a beloved badge of honor, will mightily relate to its wacky antics in the name of love.

Paula Prilutski's rediscovered masterwork ONE OF THOSE, a proto-feminist drama about an independent woman living in an unfree world, will be presentedtonight (Monday) at 7 pm at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in a newly commissioned English translation (from the original Yiddish) by writer/director Allen Lewis Rickman. This one-night-only event is another of YIVO's Treasures from the Archives.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre just wrapped up its production of Fiddler on the Roof - a colorful, reimagined version of the classic Tony Award-winning musical, directed and choreographed by Tony Award-nominated director Marcia Milgrom Dodge. Set in 1905 in the village of Anatevka in Tsarist, Russia, the story follows dairyman Tevye as he fights to maintain his family and heritage. Let's face it, nobody produces a song and sketch revue based on the plays of Ionesco in a theatre on the western outskirts of 55th Street expecting a commercial smash.  During the ten days in 1974 when the original production of Ionescopade ran Off-Broadway, lovers of musical theatre were lining up at box offices to see stars like Carol Channing in Lorelei, Debbie Reynolds in Irene, and Patty and Maxene Andrews in Over Here!  Younger playgoers were discovering themselves with Pippin and rocking out to Grease, while those who go for intellectual snob hits had their choice of the revival of Candide or the new Sondheim/Prince romance A Little Night Music.  Those venturing to Off-Broadway were still flocking to that fresh new musical, The Fantasticks, then in only its fifteenth year.

The award-winning York Theatre Company (James Morgan- Producing Artistic Director) announced today that West End and Broadway actor Peter Land, recently seen in their Mufti production of Oh, Coward! returns for three Sunday nights in February with his new solo show, Now or Never, an explosion of music and words.
