Pasadena Playhouse has announed its five mainstage productions for the 2023/2024 season, plus a new holiday tradition!

Celebration Arts continues its 2023 Season with its third production, BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK, written by Lynn Nottage.

St. Ann's Warehouse, responding to extraordinary demand for tickets, has announced a three-week extension of Monsoon Wedding, the Musical, Mira Nair's live theatrical adaptation of her landmark film. The new production, featuring actors and theater-makers from India and the global Indian diaspora, welcomes audiences inside the lavish wedding plans and frenzied leadup to an arranged marriage beset by modern tensions. Preview performances begin at the Brooklyn waterfront theater on May 6.

 The 2023-24 Season will mark Creative Cauldron’s final season at its current home in Pearson Square, before moving to a new black box theater in the Broad and Washington project.  Learn more about the lineup here!

A new musical about Betty Boop has officially announced its pre-Broadway engagement. The World Premiere of BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical will play a limited six-week engagement, November 19 – December 31, 2023, at the CIBC Theatre in Chicago. 

Arden Theatre Company will extend the Philadelphia premiere of  Lynn Nottage’s Clyde’s through March 12.

The new musical based on the cartoon character Betty Boop, long in the works, is now aiming for a run next year! David Foster, who wrote the music for the upcoming production, appeared on Live With Kelly and Ryan yesterday with wife and performer Katharine McPhee, where he confirmed that Betty Boop is coming to the stage soon!

Long Wharf Theatre announced today additional details for fall programming at 222 Sargent Drive as part of Act 1 of its 2022-2023 season. Dignity, Always Dignity will be presented on September 10 and 11, while performances for Jelly’s Last Jam will take place on September 17 and 18.
