AMC Networks announced today from the Television Critics' Association (TCA) Press Tour premiere dates for several new and returning original series, including IFC's Baroness von Sketch Show, which has been picked up for a fifth season, and programming events, including AMC's FearFest and newly expanded Best Christmas Ever holiday celebration, which will air across all of AMC Networks. 

Beginning August 5, getTV will begin airing episodes of the popular sitcom “Hot in Cleveland,” starring Valerie Bertinelli (“One Day at a Time”), Jane Leeves (“Frasier”), Wendie Malick (“Just Shoot Me”) and Betty White (“The Golden Girls”). The series, which ran on TVLand from 2010 to 2015, will air August 5 at 6PM ET.

Pour a shot and learn a lot! The Emmy(R) Award-winning Comedy Central series Drunk History returns with eight all-new episodes premiering Tuesday, June 18 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, leading off with the highly innovative and spellbinding Derek Waters' Believe It or Not and followed by the series premiere of Alternatino with Arturo Castro at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. SundanceTV announced today that season two of the critically acclaimed dramedy series This Close, created, written by and starring Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman, will premiere on Thursday, September 12 at 9:00p.m. PT/midnight ET. The expanded second season, featuring eight, half-hour episodes, will air with two back-to-back episodes on Thursday, September 12 and Friday, September 13 and the following week on Thursday, September 19 and Friday, September 20. This season will also air on Sundance Now, AMC Network's premium video streaming service.

The Ojai Playwrights Conference is announcing the company of performers and playwrights for their annual Gala Benefit, a farm-to-stable celebration to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Aspen Grove Ranch, a stunning private ranch in upper Ojai. 

Deadline reports that Steven Weber (Wings) will return to multi-camera comedy, starring opposite Adam Pally, Abby Elliott and Fran Drescher in Uninsured, NBC's pilot from The Goldbergs writer/co-executive producer Dan Levy, executive producer Doug Robinson and Sony Pictures TV.

Epix has renewed Get Shorty for a a seven-episode third season, according to Deadline. The dark comedy is one of Epix's three original three scripted series, along with Berlin Station and Graves, and comes from the now-sole owner MGM.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries unveils its slate of original premieres during its highly anticipated 'Miracles of Christmas' holiday programming event, featuring an impressive slate of 14 new, original holiday movies airing in November and December. Even if you have seen it before, I cannot stress enough how miraculous the current production of ANNIE is at the Hollywood Bowl, directed with creative ingenuity by Michael Arden. Featured in the cast of incredibly talented triple-threat (acting, singing, dancing) performers are Ana Gasteyer as the ruthless headmistress Miss Agatha Hannigan, David Alan Grier as the refined, generous billionaire Oliver 'Daddy' Warbucks, Lea Salonga as his dedicated and caring assistant Grace Farrell, with newcomer Kaylin Hedges as Annie, who won the role over hundreds of other young girls from across the country who submitted video auditions to win role. Miss Hedges is the cornerstone of the production and her soaring, pitch-perfect voice and effervescent stage presence setting the jubilant tone for the entire ensemble.

Quite possibly the most popular family-friendly stage musical of all time, ANNIE---the classic 1977 Tony Award winner for Best Musical based on Harold Gray's 'Little Orphan Annie' comic strip---seems like a no-brainer choice to appear as the annual all-star summer musical at the world-famous Hollywood Bowl.
