What did our critic think of THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL at Palm Canyon Theatre? Palm Canyon Theatre has taken some risks this season by offering a season of lesser-known shows, but their decision seems to be paying off. I know that my first-ever viewing of Titanic will last with me a long time, and their current production, The Scarlet Pimpernel, stacks up very close. It is definitely worth seeing - and especially hearing. The voices of the three leads would be comfortable in any concert hall in the world, and hearing them in PCT's relatively small auditorium is a rare treat.

It's hard to believe that the death of over 1,500 people could provide an amazing night in the theatre, but that's just what Palm Canyon Theatre's production of Titanic the Musical has done.
Palm Canyon Theatre (PCT) deserves kudos for the fine singing, acting, dancing, and technical achievements in its production of Stephen Sondheim's INTO THE WOODS - the audience was highly enthusiastic the night I attended, for good reason. The show will play through Sunday, May 22, 2022.
Take your first look at photos which go into the hallowed halls of Harvard Law in the Titusville Playhouse Inc. production of LEGALLY BLONDE the Musical, the fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie.
I've mentioned before that I don't generally care for musicals. Never have. I did fall in love with West Side Story as a kid, but when other movies like Oklahoma!, Carousel, Paint Your Wagon, and yes, even Annie Get Your Gun came on tv, I was outta there. This is how it has been for most of my life (although I did get to see Wicked on Broadway, and wowzer!)
This is the last chance to vote for the 2021 BroadwayWorld Austin Awards! The 2021 Regional Awards honor productions which had their first performance between October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021.

It’s hard to imagine a more perfect holiday show than Sound of Music, and Palm Canyon Theatre’s current production of the Rogers and Hammerstein musical should come complete with a large gift bow!
12 of Antonio Stradivari's finest violins have traveled across the world for a ground-breaking new project with violin superstar Janine Jansen. The resulting album - 12 Stradivari, out September 10, 2021 on Decca Classics - captures the individual characters of each instrument in a specially-curated program accompanied by Sir Antonio Pappano at the piano.
Hot on the heels of their smash hit touring production of AS YOU LIKE IT, the newly-minted Rogue Ensemble Theatre Company is set to take up the challenge of creating socially distanced theater and tackle Shakespeare's most violent tragedy, TITUS ANDRONICUS.
Thirty years ago, the Hubble Space Telescope was designed to take people to places they only dreamed about going – beyond the Solar System and the outer reaches of the galaxy. Since its historic launch, Hubble has entirely changed the world's understanding of the Universe.
The finest moments of the evening for me were Arthur's speeches, notably his telling of the story of removing Excalibur from the stone and his soliloquy at the end of Act I when he tries to find how to deal with the two greatest loves of his life betraying him, as a man and as the king. Grant's handling of those speeches were a master class!
Just in time for Pride, Palm Canyon Theatre has rolled out a new production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and she is firing on all cylinders! PCT did a knockout production of the show a few years ago and it was so good, I was concerned about the new staging, many new actors, new set, etc. I had no need for worry. The new production is probably even better than the first!
Thomas G. Waites' rocking adaptation of one of Shakespeare's rarely-performed comedies will play its final three performances this weekend. The hippie lovefest of this re-worked Love's Labour's Lost continues at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street, between Lafayette and Bowery) from October 24-26 at 8pm. The production, featuring a cast full of bright young talent, is made possible with the generous support of The Jeff Hunter Charitable Trust. Tickets, priced at $25 for general admission and $15 for students and seniors, are available online at https://loveslabourstgw.bpt.me/.
