Uncle Nearest 1856 Premium Whiskey, a national whiskey brand inspired by the best whiskey maker the world never knew, Nathan "Nearest" Green, officially launched in Portland, Oregon on July 19, 2017. The aged whiskey debut in Portland will be followed by Nashville, Tennessee.
Grammy-Winning Guitarist Jason Vieaux to Perform at Caramoor as Artist-in-Residence

Grammy-winning classical guitarist Jason Vieaux is currently Caramoor's Artist-in-Residence, and will be performing two more concerts in July at the popular bucolic musical destination. On Sunday, July 16 at 4pm, he joins the Orchestra of St. Luke's to perform iconic tango composer Astor Piazzolla's Four Seasons of Buenos Aires with bandoneonist Julien Labro, a piece which he and Labro recorded in 2011 for Azica Records. Vieaux will also perform Vivaldi's beloved Guitar Concerto in D Major with the orchestra. Vivaldi's Four Seasons featuring violin soloist Krista Bennion Feeney completes the program.
Richmond Symphony Announces Altria Masterworks Concert, 4/8

Richmond, Virginia Music Director Steven Smith will lead the Richmond Symphony for the seventh Altria Masterworks concert of the season on Saturday, April 8 at 8pm and Sunday, April 9 at 3pm. The Symphony's Rennolds Memorial Concert will take place at the Dominion Arts Center's Carpenter Theatre and will feature Schubert's well-known “Unfinished” Symphony, as well as major choral works by Bruckner and Vaughan Williams. Joining the Symphony on stage will be the Richmond Symphony Chorus under the direction of Erin R. Freeman and guest vocalists Michelle Areyzaga (soprano) and Kevin Deas (bass-baritone).

Originally directed and choreographed by directing and dancing legend Bob Fosse, Sweet Charity at the Palm Canyon Theatre is focused on bringing that Fosse style to Palm Springs. Choreographer Stephanie Eley, a stage veteran, is sharing her expertise with dancers from various studios across the valley and many College of the Desert students. Eley was in the original Broadway cast of Dreamgirls and My One and Only, and performed in the national and international tours of A Chorus Line from 1977-1980. With dance number after dance number, this is sure to be a show not to be missed as PCT winds down its 20th Anniversary Season.

A world famous yet mysterious candy man is about to invite five lucky children into his magical chocolate factory, where delicious adventures await. The Yardley Players present 'Willy Wonka,' a musical based on the famed Roald Dahl book, at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre Fridays, July 1 and 8 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, July 2 and 9 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, July 3 and 10 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on July 1.

Armwood, Jr. Pastor, Ebenezer Baptist Church; and Steven Smith, Music Director of the Richmond Symphony are pleased to announce a special festival celebrating the people, places and history of Richmond's historic Jackson Ward. Celebrate Jackson Ward: Past Present and Future will showcase the unique history of Jackson Ward through the stories and performances from individuals and organizations that continue to make a positive impact on the area. The Festival will feature three days of performances and activities on May 20-22, 2016. Anchored by a performance by the Richmond Symphony under its new “Big Tent” with Virginia Repertory Theatre, Richmond Jazz Society and Elegba Folklore Society, the festival will also give many professional, community and school groups a chance to perform on the Symphony's new state-of-the-art outdoor stage. The festival will also highlight ART 180's annual spring showcase, The Really BIG Show, as part of the weekend's festivities.

May 3, 2016 – Richmond Virginia The Richmond Symphony will close the 2015-16 Season with Ravel's Daphnis et Chloé on Saturday, May 14 at 8pm and Sunday, May 15 at 3pm. The music, composed for a three-part ballet, is based on the mythological Greek love story of Daphnis and Chloé and is considered some of the most beautiful and evocative of the twentieth century. Joining the Symphony will be the Richmond Symphony Chorus under the direction of Erin R. Freeman. The Altria Masterworks concerts will be led by Music Director Steven Smith and held at the Carpenter Theatre, Dominion Arts Center.
