Stage and screen star Kristin Chenoweth, Tony Award winner for 'You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown,' and Tony Award nominee for originating the role of Glinda the Good Witch in 'Wicked,' will appear in a Valentine's Benefit Concert at Westport Country Playhouse (Joanne Woodward and Anne Keefe, artistic directors, Jodi Schoenbrun Carter, managing director) on Saturday, February 7, 8 p.m. A pre-show champagne welcome will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for the fundraising event are $100, $150, $250.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Kristin Chenoweth (whose most recent TV gig, Pushing Daisies, appears to be all but cancelled) has joined the cast of Fox's new animated comedy Sit Down, Shut Up, about the staff at a small-town Florida high school.

Bernadette Peters is keeping busy this holiday season, and this gives you plenty of chances to catch her signing books and appearing on TV. Tuesday, December 2nd -- book signing at New York City's Lord & Taylor on Fifth Avenue at 4pm as part of the store's all-day Benefit Bash in support of the Fund for Public Schools.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that Kathleen Turner has been confirmed to star in their production of Charles Busch's The Third Story, directed by Carl Andress. Ms. Turner will appear opposite Mr. Busch, who was previously announced to play the other leading female role.

The LA Times is reporting the scoop this morning that Bernadette Peters will guest star on UGLY BETTY for at least one episode in early 2009 as a 'magazine mogul with a mouthful for a name.' The episode will be the eleventh of the season and is set to air in January 2009.

Fresh on the heels of its 18 Ovation Award nominations (the most by any Southern California theatre company), Cabrillo Music Theatre continues the 2008-2009 season with the West Coast Premiere of the new musical sensation, BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO, featuring a book by Erik Jackson and Ben H.
