Bridge to Broadway, an online training platform matches musical theatre up-and-comers with seasoned Broadway professionals. 

The Actors Fund, the national human services organization for everyone in performing arts and entertainment, announced today that SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky and his husband, producer James Wesley, will produce a daily mini-online show, entitled Stars in The House, featuring stars of stage and screen singing and performing live (from home!) on social media to promote support for The Fund's services for those most vulnerable to the effects of Coronavirus (COVID-19).  

BroadwayWorld was saddened to report that Broadway veteran Merwin Foard recently passed away at 59 years old. Born September 16, 1960 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Foard was last seen on Broadway in Aladdin as a standby for Jafar/Sultan.

West Of Broadway podcast had a moment to catch up with Tal Fox and talk about her online classroom called Self Tape for the Soul. Inspired by Laura Benanti and her #SunshineSongs idea, Tal has created a platform for students to self tape and get feedback from industry professionals, including West of Broadway's Wendy Rosoff! 

After premiering in Los Angeles in 2008, Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 opened on Broadway on April 30, 2009 at the Marquis Theatre. Based on the 1980 film of the same name, the musical featured cast, including Allison Janney, Stephanie J. Block, Megan Hilty, Marc Kudisch, and Andy Karl.

Provincetown's Art House theater has announced its upcoming music and comedy lineup. Returning center stage is the Broadway @ series first launched in 2011 by Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale and Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky, and now in more than a dozen major venues worldwide.

WOMEN ON FIRE is written, curated, and co-directed by Royal Family artistic director Chris Henry from stories told to her by a group of anonymous women, with choreography and co-direction from Lorna Ventura.

Block, this year's Tony Award® winning Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her title role in The Cher Show, performing live at the Parker Playhouse on Saturday, February 22 at 8 PM.
