Wicked has been playing to ecstatic full houses at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre since it opened on 2 March. Due to demand, new performances  for WICKED have been released for sale up until 28 July, with presales beginning today and general public tickets from 12 April.

Simon Burke AO will be playing the role of the Wizard during the Melbourne season of the spectacular musical WICKED.

The winners of the 2022 Sydney Theatre Awards were announced on 23 January 2023 at a star-studded ceremony, with 30 Awards presented, shared between 18 productions which played on Sydney stages during 2022. Over 500 members of the Sydney theatre community gathered at the York Theatre, Seymour Centre to celebrate.

Global Creatures today announced that MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL will commence performances at Perth’s Crown Theatre in February 2023. Tickets for the Perth season of the first Australian produced musical to win the Tony Award for Best Musical, go on sale to the general public on Thursday 28 July, with pre-sale tickets available to waitlist members from Monday 25 July.

The epic, sweeping drama series takes place during one of the most provocative periods in Roman history, following the extraordinary rise of Gaius, Emperor Augustus Caesar’s third wife, Livia Drusilla, played by Kasia Smutniak (Perfetti Sconosciuti, Loro, Devils).  Domina is scheduled to begin production this spring at Cinecittà Studios in Rome.

Rehearsal images have been released for Hampstead Theatre’s production of Alan Plater’s Peggy For You, directed by Richard Wilson and starring Tamsin Greig in the title role, from 10 December until 29 January 2022.  

The official extended trailer has been released for the Australian production of Moulin Rouge! The musical is now playing at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne.

Tamsin Greig will be joined in the cast by Josh Finan (The Responder, BBC One; Shook, Papatango Theatre Co - Southwark Playhouse/UK tour), Trevor Fox (My Brilliant Friend, National Theatre; The Jungle, New York/San Francisco/Playhouse Theatre/Young Vic), Danusia Samal (Maryland, Royal Court; The Great, Hula) and Jos Vantyler (King Lear, Old Vic; Love's Labour's Lost, Shakespeare's Globe).

Stockard Channing and Rebecca Night will perform in the Pulitzer Prize-winning 'night, Mother by Marsha Norman.  This astonishing play, which had its UK premiere at Hampstead Theatre in 1985, will be directed by the theatre's Artistic Director, Roxana Silbert.  'night, Mother will run from 22 October until 4 December 2021.
