Twenty-five years ago, Shirley MacLaine and Richard Pryor were onstage together when they were inducted into the Comedy Hall of Fame, honoring them for their Lifetime Achievements on Stage, Television, and Film. On October 17, 2019, Richard Pryor Jr. and Shirley MacLaine's daughter, Sachi Parker, will be on stage together, costarring in a staged reading of 'THE INTERRUPTED JOURNEY' at the Actors Temple Theatre, NYC.

Bob Fosse's SWEET CHARITY Announced At Film Forum

Bob Fosse's SWEET CHARITY (1969), based on the smash Broadway hit written by Neil Simon, starring Shirley MacLaine, will run in a new 4K restoration at Film Forum on Sunday, October 13 at 4:30 and Monday, October 14 at 2:30. Both screenings will be introduced by Kevin Winkler, author of Big Deal: Bob Fosse and Dance in the American Musical (available both days at our concession), with book signings in the lobby following both events.

Now, a quarter of a century later, Shirley MacLaine's daughter, Sachi Parker, and Richard Pryor Jr. will be sharing the stage at the Theater For The New City in NYC. Parker and Pryor Jr. will be playing Betty and Barney Hill, an inter-racial couple who were abducted by aliens from another planet and brought on board a UFO where they were examined.
