'Prism' is the latest single from Southern California's Plague Vendor, who will release their new album By Night next Friday, June 7 via Epitaph. 'This was the first song where I could use a breakbeat on this album,' note dummer Luke Perine. 'I was inspired by Beck's 'Devil's Haircut.' There are drum breaks on the track but not solos. It was pure fun.'

COME FROM AWAY Releases Original Broadway Cast Recording On Vinyl This Friday

A limited edition two LP yellow vinyl set of the original Broadway cast recording of COME FROM AWAY will be released on Friday, May 31. The vinyl will be available exclusively online and in store at Barnes and Noble. The vinyl lacquers were cut by Clint Holley at Well Made Music and the records were pressed at Memphis Record Pressing. David Lai, Ian Eisendrath, August Eriksmoen, Irene Sankoff and David Hein serve as album producers.

The A side, 'Hey Brother,' is a song written by The Frightnrs and originally performed on their acclaimed LP, Nothing More to Say. In the wake of the tragic loss of singer Dan Klein to ALS just before the album's release, Daptone felt it would be a fitting tribute to re-imagine the tune as a soulful collaboration between the dynamic vocalists on the label. Shakespeare's Globe has announced the full cast for William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Sean Holmes. Sean joined the Globe as Associate Artistic Director after almost a decade as Artistic Director of the Lyric Hammersmith. A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare's evergreen comedy of chaos and order, opens on Friday 28 June in The Globe Theatre. Bottom will be played by Jocelyn Jee Esien, returning to the Globe following her titular role of Dr Faustus.

More than 450 guests were starstruck at Goodman Theatre's May 18 Spring Gala, headlined by Broadway star and Tony Award nominee Megan Hilty. The black-tie event, held at the Fairmont Chicago, raised more than $800,000 to support the theater's Education and Community Engagement programs. The gala was co-chaired by Teri and Doug Brown and Carole Wood and Carl Jenkins. The Goodman's "Starstruck" Spring Gala was presented by The Women's Board.
