A Lunar New Year Special: Pan Asian Repertory Theatre (Tisa Chang, Founding Artistic Producing Director), continuing their educational initiative to serve elementary grade students and families with children, launches its 43rd season with the return engagement of the 2018 production of The Emperor's Nightingale by Damon Chua.

Having unleashed zombie apocalypse with his debut album in 2019, 'Shadow Of A Wrecking Ball', LE CYGNE NOIR returns in 2020 with a new EP: 'Last Day of My Life'.

This gorgeous shadow puppetry performance brings an ancient Turkish tale to life with Karagoz, the hero of traditional Anatolian shadow plays. When Karagoz cuts the branches from a magical neighborhood tree, he and his friend are transformed into animals, and learn the importance of nature and protecting the environment.

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciarán O'Reilly, Producing Director) has announced the cast & creative team for Lady G: Plays and Whisperings of Lady Gregory. Lady G is written by Lady Augusta Gregory with additional material by Ciarán O'Reilly (Dublin Carol), with direction by O'Reilly. Previews begin in the W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre on February 12, 2020, with opening night set for February 19, 2020, for a limited engagement through March 22, 2020.

Erik Lee Preminger, the son of legendary burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee (whose 1957 memoirs inspired the classic musical GYPSY) and film director Otto Preminger, will appear in-person at Naples's Theatrezone on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 to present his one-man show about his famous mother (featuring rare home movies, television shows, newsreel footage, a question-and-answer session, and more). He was kind enough to give me and BroadwayWorld readers some insight into his life and his show ahead of the January 15 performance; read below.

THE MUSICAL COMEDY MURDERS OF 1940 opens at Artisan Center Theater on Thursday, January 9, 2020 and runs through Saturday, January 25, 2020. The 150 seat Second Stage theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.

Is there anything the Milwaukee Opera Theatre touches that doesn't turn to gold? Their latest collaboration with Skylight Music Theatre is Gilbert and Sullivan's Ruddigore, a sweet, hilarious, melodramatic comic opera made exceedingly charming under the inspired watch of co-directors Jill Anna Ponasik and Catie O'Donnell. With these creative cohorts in tow, I swear there's nothing attached to Ponasik's name that I've not adored. Her vision is a special kind of magic, and Milwaukee is lucky to have her.

As part of the culminating season of his decade-long focus on the music of Beethoven, pianist Jonathan Biss performs the composer's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major (“Emperor”) with the Curtis Symphony Orchestra, led by Osmo Vänskä, on its first U.S. tour, from January 30 to February 8.

Shadow of the Run LLC Co-Founders Beth McGee, Adam Kern, Christine Woods and Ben Needham announced that their Immersive Theatre project RAILROADED: A SHADOW OF THE RUN STORY will premiere in a limited engagement January 9th-12th, 2020 in the City of Bedford.
