Tori Scott's PLAN B! Will Tape Live This Month at Joe's Pub
by BWW News Desk
- May 10, 2017
Joe's Pub at The Public has announced that Tori Scott's new show Plan B! - a shameless musical journey of slurred autobiographical stories and songs written by other people- will be taped live at the venue for Scott's upcoming Plan B! album. Be a part of a show that you'll always remember… well, at least Tori will always remember. And isn't that what's important?

BWW Review: Tori Scott Provides Post-Election Catharsis in SEEING DOUBLE at Joe's Pub
by Troy Frisby
- Nov 30, 2016
Early on in Tori Scott's SEEING DOUBLE, the woman of the hour deadpanned, 'I've been in a rut since birth.'
If that's the case, we should all be so lucky. But on the subject of things that could be going better, throughout Scott's performance at Joe's Pub on November 13, the unofficial theme of the night was, 'Could this year get any worse?'
With the election still looming large, Scott took the stage, explaining she'd been looking forward to the show because she was in need of some attention, before adding, 'Then Tuesday happened and I needed group therapy.'

BWW Interview: Derrick Davis of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at Bass Performance Hall
by Sarah Comley Caldwell

If you ask a musical theatre lover to name one of their favorite shows, there's a high likelihood they will mention Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic, The Phantom of the Opera, a staple on Broadway, around the world and on tour. I was honored and thrilled to chat with actor Derrick Davis, who is in rehearsal for the national tour and will step into the role of the Phantom in Fort Worth, TX at the Bass Performance Hall, beginning October 20th. We discussed his historic ascent into the role {as only the third African-American to star as the Phantom and the first to star in the national tour}, his dream roles, tricks of the trade and, of course, his favorite flavor of cake - check out our conversation below!

BWW Reviews: Irreverent TORI SCOTT Blows Audiences Away With Her Roaring Pipes at Joe's Pub
by Remy Block

In her new cabaret show Thirsty! (which returns to Joe's Pub for a second show on June 1 at 9:30), Scott regales the audience with tales of a young(ish) single woman living in New York City as an aspiring musical theater performer, whose antics tend to run toward the debauched, since she has 'no moral compass and [loves] being social.' Scott, named Time Out New York's Top Ten Cabaret Artist of 2013, has graced the stages of Joe's Pub, 54 Below, the Laurie Beechman, the Metropolitan Room, and every gay bar on the Eastern Seaboard.
