After a sell-out run of Sket in 2016, PMJ Productions are proud to return to Park Theatre with the European premiere of Selina Fillinger's play, Faceless.

Theatre Three Artistic Director Jeffrey Schmidt has announced the 2018-19 season to be produced on the Norma Young Arena Stage. Theatre Three, Dallas's 57-year-old theatre-in-the-round, is located in the Quadrangle in the heart of uptown at 2800 Routh Street, Suite 168, Dallas, TX 75201.

The Alley Theatre's Alley All New Festival, January 20-28, 2018, features six playwrights and more than 30 actors from the Alley and around the country who will be presenting new work through a series of readings and workshop performances. In addition to Alley Resident Company members, many artists have existing connections to the Alley and some are making their Alley debut. The start of the festival will celebrate the reopening of the Neuhaus Theatre. A tense and tightly plotted drama, Faceless made a splash with its world premiere at Chicago's Northlight Theatre last year. Now, with much of its creative team and cast returning, that acclaimed production moves to The Rep's Emerson Studio Theatre. Written by Selina Fillinger and directed by BJ Jones, the play runs from January 17 to February 4.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the seventh annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Selina Fillinger, Harrison David Rivers, Korde Arrington Tuttle, Calamity West and Daniel Zaitchik.

Zeitgeist Stage Company begins its 17th season with the East Coast premiere of Selina Fillinger's FACELESS, a play with a storyline that sits smack in the middle of the national zeitgeist. It pits a sheltered 18-year old white girl against a Harvard Law School graduate and practicing Muslim in a taut courtroom drama that is about much more than the charges being litigated. Terrorism and ISIS are on trial, but the face of a young American woman is symbolic of how the enemy is expanding its reach into our homeland via social media, and the attorney in the hijab is the unlikely government crusader chosen to fight back.

The International Centre for Women Playwrights has announced the 2017 recipients of the 50/50 Applause Awards, including three theaters from Chicago. Northlight Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater and Windy City Playhouse were among 58 international recipients honored for producing 50 percent or more plays by women playwrights during the 2016/17 season.

Seven world premiere plays seen first by Chicago audiences were among those receiving nominations by The Jeff Awards. 158 nominations in 33 categories honor Chicago Equity theatrical productions that opened between August 1, 2016 and July 31, 2017.
