The Savannah VOICE Festival has limited availability for these not to be missed Live shows at The Charles H. Morris Center as it enters the final week of the festival.  Each performance will have two showings, the first showing will begin promptly at 6 p.m. and the final showing at 8 p.m.

The SCAD Museum of Art presents its latest exhibition, Ring Redux: The Susan Grant Lewin Collection, featuring more than 100 avant-garde rings  by artists who have reinvented the age-old and enduring jewelry form with a distinctively  contemporary sensibility.

Lillias White (Dreamgirls, Cats, Once On This Island, How to Succeed, The Life, Fela!) is the kind of performer who engenders adoration. She serves up joy and talent in giant portions in everything she does. She won the Tony for The Life, the Obie for Romance in Hard Times, and a Daytime Emmy for her role on Sesame Street. She was also Tony-nominated for her stunning turn in Fela! Her voice is instantly recognizable. No one sings like her. The force of her voice and her presence is as elemental as air, water, earth, and fire.

The series stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith with Todd Almond, Adam Chanler-Berat, Johnathan Fernandez and Jason Gotay.

Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical tells the story of the beloved Netflix show through song and dance, poking fun at all of the 1980s tropes that take place in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, where nothing strange ever happens. For those unfamiliar with Stranger Things, the first season focuses on a group of nerdy boys searching for their friend, Will, who has gone missing. With a small cast of 9 and very little set pieces, the show takes a minimalist approach and focuses on the characters themselves, with each being parodied as a stereotype from the television show.

Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical has officially returned from the Upside Down with its off-Broadway premiere at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal St.), ahead of an official Opening Night set for Wednesday, August 11th, with the strictly limited engagement set to run through Sunday, September 5th. After two sold-out concert runs at Feinstein's/54 Below, Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical has returned from the Upside Down with its off-Broadway premiere in a strictly limited 5-week engagement at The Players Theatre from August 5 to September 5.

The event will feature performances by Broadway's Amber Iman, Tony Award winner Gavin Creel, Sasha Allen, Jo Lampert, Obie Award winner Whitney White, Hoofer Award winner Ayodele Casel, and more.

Blevins recently shared the latest single “Believe,” off of First Time Feeling, which followed two single/video releases with all clips being directed by Citizen Kane Wayne - the title track, “First Time Feeling” and the plaintive “Beautiful Disaster.”

South Camden Theatre Company and the Waterfront South Theatre in Camden, NJ will once again reopening to live audiences. The production, the regional premiere of Quiara Alegrîa Hudes' “Daphne's Dive” will open to live, in-person audiences on September 10, 2021.

They also flew in their drummer Rob Humphreys (Leonard Cohen, Jason Mraz) for the recording and worked with Chad Copelin (Sufjan Stevens, Christina Perri, Ben Rector) back in Oklahoma for keys and additional production as well as keyboardist Dan Walker (Heart). 

Audiences can look forward to educational intensives taught by Metropolitan Opera Assistant Conductor and VOICE Faculty member Howard Watkins on Tuesday, August 10 and Metropolitan Opera Director Fabrizio Melano on Wednesday, August 11.

The Savannah VOICE Festival is partnering with Old Town Trolley for their ninth season to provide shuttle services from The Landings to the second showing of many performances, helping guests “See the Best”, from Aug. 10 to Aug. 21. 

 Stages Theatre Company will present their newest Theatre for the Very Young production of DOWN ON THE FARM: A LIFT-THE-FLAP OUTDOOR ADVENTURE. Based on the concept of lift-the-flap picture books, this Theatre for the Very Young outdoor performance is sure to delight their youngest audience members (ages 0-5).

The Savannah VOICE Festival is once again partnering with The Charles H. Morris Center during its ninth season to present an impressive week of productions happening Live during the final week of the festival, Aug. 18-20.

Darlinghurst’s 7th single, a scorching duet between Pagan and Shannon Noll will be released to streaming platforms on 6 August and to radio on 24 August.
