FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Alexander Sage Oyen and Nora Brigid Monahan with Stockton University Theatre students in “Maximilien Robespierre Did Nothing Wrong” on Thursday May 12th at 9:30pm. A brand-new musical based on the French Revolutionary's “Jacobin Club” and their leader, Maximilien Robespierre. Is “Max” truly only a villain as the history books have made him out to be? And how revolutionary is he willing to be in order to make a revolution?

The 2022 BBC Proms celebrates a homecoming of large-scale orchestral repertoire to the Royal Albert Hall. This year's festival will feature a programme of a scale not heard at the Proms since 2019: the symphonic music of our past responding vividly to the moment, from Verdi's Requiem on the First Night of the Proms, to Mahler's Second Symphony with the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle, to Beethoven's Ninth Symphony performed by the Chineke! Orchestra and Chineke! Voices under Kevin John Edusei.

Padua Playwrights world premieres poet/playwright Murray Mednick’s Three Tables April 23, 2022, at the Zephyr Theatre. The playwright himself directs the cast featuring Steve Apostolina, Eric Stanton Betts, Raquel Cain, Matt Gottlieb, Laura Liguori, Dennis Renard, Corey Rieger and Michael Uribes. I got the chance to throw a few questions at Murray on Three Tables, Padua Playwrights and his long history with Los Angeles theatre.

The Joffrey Ballet announced today the world premiere of Rita Finds Home, a family-friendly program and collaborative project between the Joffrey and Miami City Ballet, which will make its debut at the Navy Pier Lake Stage, July 9–10, 2022.

 I Wanna Fall in Love comes to Asylum @ Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre, on the mainstage, 5636 Melrose Ave., Hollywood, CA 90038. This world premiere engagement of a new musical is a Hollywood Fringe Festival Selection.

Fiery Seahorse Productions will present the 2022 Reading of Chicagoan Marie Yuen's adaptation of 'Ye-Xian: The Chinese Cinderella' (working title 'C2'), on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Chinese American Museum of Chicago - Raymond B. & Jean T. Lee Center, 238 West 23rd Street, in Chicago's Chinatown, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Hoenig Theatre Artist Scholarship (HTAS) announced the Spring 2022 scholarship recipients. President Ann Hoenig and members of the board are proud to announce scholarships have been awarded to seven deserving theatre artists from across the nation so far this year.

Today, Bay Area-based Monophonics released “Love You Better,” the second single from their upcoming full-length Sage Motel. Sage Motel, Monophonics' fifth studio album since 2012, tells its story. Once again produced by brilliant bandleader Kelly Finnigan, the album captures a timeless sound that blends heavy soul with psych-rock.

Tod Machover's visionary opera Schoenberg in Hollywood, will have its European Premiere at the Vienna Volksoper on April 9, with performances through April 24. (The premiere was originally scheduled for April 2020, but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.)

This one woman show about a female lighthouse keeper features Artistic Director Ava Roy as the keeper and is a collaboration between Roy and We Players' Associate Producer Britt Lauer. Inspired by historical figures and including passages and quotes from literature, the script is an original piece written by Roy and Lauer.

Los Angeles-based theatre company Lower Depth Theatre is launching the first cycle of their new Playwright Commission Fellowship with a diverse cohort of playwrights. The four selected playwrights for the 2022 Fellowship include DeLane McDuffie, Marlow Wyatt, Sage Martin, & Vasanti Saxena.

FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, will present “WRITE OUT LOUD: From Contest to Concert VOLUME 3.” Hosted by Taylor Louderman (Tony Nominee, Mean Girls), Musical Direction by Benjamin Rauhala (Disney Princess - The Concert) and produced by Hannah Kloepfer and Sarah Glugatch with Josh Collopy.

Alight Theater Guild will produce NYC Queer Playback Theater with 'Peace & Conflict' on Saturday April 16 at 7:30 pm EDT in a virtual interactive playback performance. This event is open to all ages and orientations and will run approximately 90 minutes.
