Jean-Luc Choplin continues to bring Sondheim to Paris

Richard Kind will star as Pseudolus in the upcoming Paris production of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, which will be the inaugural production of the new Lido 2 Paris. John Owen-Jones will take on the role of Miles Gloriosus.

It’s tough humour, not always politically correct nor consistently hilarious. All aspects of their personal lives and careers are ammunition. On-set misdemeanours, past scuffles, sexual escapades - everything. It’s somewhat of a potboiler for the easily pleased punters and industry professionals: it’s funny, but far from a knee-slapper and insulated in its type of jokes. Their punches are ruthless and the piece is deliciously self-referential, though its real strength is its unexploited dark side.

Nenda Neururer will star as Leela, completing the cast of It’s Headed Straight Towards Us, a comedy written by stars of The Young Ones, Adrian Edmondson and Nigel Planer.

As it starts its 10th anniversary celebrations, Park Theatre has announced its Summer / Autumn season. The season that takes audiences from mental health in sport to life choices that are app controlled, from a dystopian Europe to an Icelandic avalanche in a comedy by Adrian Edmondson and Nigel Planer, and from theatre based on Anime to an exploration of that Princess Diana interview.

Jonathan Church Theatre Productions and RJG Productions have announced It's Headed Straight Towards Us, a comedy written by stars of The Young Ones, Adrian Edmondson and Nigel Planer.

It couldn't be more timely that the iconic 70s British TV sitcom, The Good Life - attracting 21 million viewers at its peak in 1977 - now comes to theatres.

The acclaimed cast will include actress and presenter Preeya Kalidas as 'Margo Leadbetter', Dominic Rowan as 'Jerry Leadbetter', and Sally Tatum as 'Barbara Good', joining the previously announced actor and comedian Rufus Hound as 'Tom Good'. Also featured will be Nigel Betts and Tessa Churchard.

Producers at RED Entertainment in association with Prime Pantomimes & the New Theatre, Peterborough have announced a further three stars for this year’s high flying pantomime adventure, Aladdin.
