BroadwayCon has revealed the lineup for its First Look, treating attendees to an exclusive showcase of performances from some of the newest and most talked-about shows of the season.
The Shark is Broken officially begins previews on July 25, at the John Golden Theatre. The play officially opens on Thursday, August 10, 2023, for a strictly limited 16-week engagement. The cast met the press yesterday and you can check out the photos here!

Panic! Productions, along with Born To Perform Studios and BarCinBoo Productions, Inc. have announced that Barry Pearl will once again direct their late summer teen musical 13, this time at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. This will be Pearl's third time working with Panic! Productions and also his third time directing the musical on the West Coast. I decided to speak with Barry about his connection to the teen musical and what inspired him to direct it for the third time, as well as how it may differ from his previous incarnations.

The comedy, which received both critical and audience acclaim when it ran at the Ambassadors Theatre in London's West End, will have its North American premiere at the historic Royal Alexandra Theatre, September 25 to November 6, 2022.

Sonia Friedman has today announced that The Shark is Broken has recouped, as the critically acclaimed play comes to a triumphant end at the Ambassadors Theatre. Like the famously turbulent shoot of the movie JAWS, The Shark is Broken made it to the West End against all odds after the initial 2020 run was postponed due to the pandemic, before steering a course through the many crises and disruptions the theatre industry has faced since.
A brand new trailer has been released today for The Shark is Broken. As previously announced the critically acclaimed production has extended its run at the Ambassadors Theatre, due to popular demand, until 13 February 2022.
