Granbury Theatre Company will continue its 2020 Broadway on the Brazos season with Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn on April 3-26, 2020, at the historic Granbury Opera House in Downtown Granbury.

Rubicon Theatre Company has just extended the company's acclaimed, sold-out production of Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, which now continues through November 17, 2019. Directed by Kirby Ward, with a company of 24, the production runs Wednesdays through Sundays in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District at the company's home at 1006 E. Main Street, Ventura, CA  93001.

The Country Music Association has announced the nominees for the 2019 CMA Touring Awards, which highlight vital behind-the-scenes members of the touring industry. Final voting for the 2019 CMA Touring Awards opens Thursday, Nov. 7 and closes Wednesday, Nov. 20. This year's Touring Awards will take place Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Nashville's Marathon Music Works.

An innovative immersive production, in which orchestra musicians step on stage to perform with the cast and an in-the-round configuration, highlights Rubicon Theatre Company's evocative, atmospheric production of 'Big River.' With a score by country music's Roger Miller, 'Big River' won 7 Tonys in 1985. Summer can officially begin in Sacramento! Broadway at Music Circus kicks off its new season on June 11 with Shrek the Musical. Palm Canyon Theatre is taking an exuberant romp on the Mississippi in their current musical, Big River. The 1985 Broadway hit, with songs by Roger ("King of the Road") Miller, is a stage adaptation of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. In the capable hands of director Se Layne, it shows energy, style, and a fair bit of heart.

The Nashville-based 501c3 nonprofit will hold its Tribute to Veterans in Entertainment event on May 14th at the Texas Troubadour Theatre. Hosted by recording artist, Laura Bryna and the Grand Ole Opry's, Juliette Vara, the event will feature star-studded recognition award recipients, celebrity guest presenters, and exclusive music performances. Thanks to a partnership with the Nashville Film Institute, audiences will be able watch the event as it's live-streamed via @savehomefront on Facebook beginning at 8pm CT.
