The McKittrick Hotel (530 West 27th Street, NYC), home of Sleep No More, announced its limited engagement of Dame Susan Hill’s The Woman in Black - a ghost story in a pub, will be extended through winter by popular demand.

Today, Jermyn Street Theatre announces its first full season since it reopened with the Footprints Festival earlier this year.  The Encounters Season, which runs from mid-September to the end of the year, features some of the greatest on-stage talent in the UK, in a line-up that includes Sîan Phillips, Michael Pennington, Oliver Ford Davies and Stephen Boxer.

The full cast has been announced for the return of Susan Hill's THE WOMAN IN BLACK at The Fortune Theatre, London. Terence Wilton and Max Hutchinson will return to the show from Tuesday 7 September as 'Arthur Kipps' and 'The Actor' respectively.

Stephen Mallatratt’s adaptation of Susan Hill’s bestselling novel tells the story of a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over his family by the spectre of a ‘Woman in Black’. He engages a young actor to help him tell his story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul.

Kicking off this mini-season is an epic all-day, all-star performance, in which Artistic Director Tom Littler dramatises Emily Wilson's translation of The Odyssey as a staged reading in six parts by a company of eleven actors and six guest-star narrators.

The 2021 UK Tour opens at Cambridge Arts Theatre before visiting Bath, Guilford, Oxford, Malvern, Shrewsbury, Manchester, Brighton, Glasgow, York, Blackpool, Stoke and Edinburgh. Further tour dates to be announced.

A late shift in venues moved the visitation of THE WOMAN IN BLACK, that famed West End perennial second in longevity to only The Mousetrap, from the Charleston Visitor Center Bus Shed - quite an intriguing choice - to Spoleto Festival USA's Festival Hall. Results are mixed.

Perhaps we can declare that social distancing is as antithetical to telling a gripping ghost story as it is to sustaining a great vibe at a bar or a pub. After a 30-year run in London's West End, where it remains on a pandemic-induced hiatus, THE WOMAN IN BLACK certainly has a pedigree to please. The play, adapted by Stephen Mallatratt from Susan Hill's 1983 novel, is only surpassed by Dame Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap as the longest-running play in West End history.

The West End’s second longest running play, Susan Hill’s The Woman in Black will embark on a UK Tour, opening at Cambridge Arts Theatre on Thursday 17 June 2021.

The Mill at Sonning, the UK's only dinner theatre, has received a grant of £448,550 from the Government's £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund to help the organisation recover and reopen.

The Daily Mail has reported that George and Amal Clooney have helped save the Mill at Sonning after it was shut down due to the ongoing pandemic by donating to the venue. The Mill at Sonning is now set to reopen on October 30th.

After nine months in lockdown, The Mill at Sonning, the UK's only dinner theatre, is to re-open its theatre on 30 October with a winter season of comedy, magic, cabarets and plays.

Joining the previously announced guests are Vicki Michelle, Millicent Martin, Sally Hughes, Robin Herford, Toyah Willcox and Annabel Croft.
