Robert Horn and Scott Ellis, the duo behind Tootsie on Broadway, have created a pilot that Fox has officially landed, according to Deadline.

It was announced today that the Tony-nominated musical TOOTSIE will play its final performance at at the Marquis Theatre on Sunday, January 5, 2020.

In honor of National Author's Day today, November 1, TOOTSIE has partnered with The New School's College of Performing Arts to launch a playwriting contest for its students. Participants must submit a new, original 5-minute comedic play with the title a?oeWho Are You?a?? based off a TOOTSIE song of the same title. The winner of the contest will receive a private writing consultation with Tony Award-winning book writer Robert Horn.

According to Deadline, Netflix will turn Jason Robert Brown's 2008 musical 13 into a movie, featuring new songs by Brown, an adapted script by Robert Horn (Tootsie) and direction by Tamra Davis.

PRIMARY STAGES is proud to announce that tickets are now on sale for the first two productions of its 35th Anniversary season. The season will kick off in the fall with the world premiere of On That Day in Amsterdam, written by Clarence Coo (Beautiful Province (Belle Province)-a?'Yale Drama Prize) and directed by Kareem Fahmy (3/Fifths). Performances begin at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) on October 29, 2019, with opening night set for November 19, for a run through December 18, 2019.
