Jennifer Love Hewitt, Joel David Moore to Lead JEWTOPIA Film

Jewtopia, a comedy by Bryan Fogel and Sam Wolfson, is the longest running comedy in Off-Broadway history. Variety reports that Hewitt will be joined by Joel David Moore ('Avatar') and Ivan Sergei ('Charmed') as well as Tom Arnold, Jon Lovitz, Nicollette Sheridan, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Rita Wilson, Wendie Malick, Camryn Manheim, Peter Stormare, Lin Shaye, Christine Lakin, Hayes MacArthur, Bree Turner and Phil Rosenthal.

Hershey Felder Returns to the Old Globe in July

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the return of actor, playwright and Steinway concert artist Hershey Felder in a trio of his critically-acclaimed solo shows. Hershey Felder as George Gershwin Alone delighted San Diego audiences in 2006 and 2008 and due to popular demand will be revived for 13 performances from July 1 - 10. Felder will lead audiences on a musical journey through a century of American music in Hershey Felder in Concert: The Great American Songbook Sing-Along from July 11 - 17. The latest addition to Felder's ambitious 'Composers Sonata,' Hershey Felder in Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein, will receive its Globe debut from July 22 - Aug. 28. Previews run July 22 - July 28. Opening night is July 29. Both George Gershwin Alone and Maestro are directed by Joel Zwick. All three events will run in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA) continued the celebration of its 25th anniversary by holding its 21st Simply Shakespeare reading of 'The Merry Wives of Windsor.' The participants for this rhinestone-studded cast in a down-home evenin' that was more colorful than a clown at a rodeo included Christina Applegate, Kenneth Branagh, Faith Hill, Eric Idle, Arte Johnson, Eugene Levy, Tim McGraw, William Shatner, Martin Short, Tracey Ullman and the co-chairs of the event Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks, all of whom read one of Shakespeare's best known and beloved comedies.
