State Theatre New Jersey presents Tusk & EagleMania on Friday, September 16 at 8pm.

VetsAid 2022 will feature sets from a newly reunited James Gang (Joe Walsh, Jimmy Fox and Dale Peters) for a final performance, or “One Last Ride,” with special guest Dave Grohl as well as from Nine Inch Nails, The Black Keys and The Breeders. The show will be hosted for the third time by Cleveland native Drew Carey.

New York-based, Honduran-American violinist MARISSA LICATA and her new band The Ragtag Collection will welcome special guest vocalist Kuhoo Verma (Octet, Plan B on Hulu) for their debut at The Cutting Room on Monday, August 1 at 7:00 PM.

Silversun Pickups will embark on their 21-date headlining tour in support of their forthcoming album, Physical Thrills (August 19th, New Machine Recordings). Just over the Sierra Nevada Mountain range from the Sacramento Valley lies the town of Reno, Nevada. Its proximity to Sacramento makes it a popular destination for entertainment and its casinos attract well-known talent. It was during one of these concerts that serendipity intervened, and I met the charmingly eclectic indie artist, Jonathan Louis. A drummer for a local group called The Band Cell, Louis is branching out into solo territory with new songs “The Next Big Thing,” and “Bouncy.” Broadway World spoke to Louis about the post-pandemic music scene, his quirky style, and how The Who inspired his music career.

Silversun Pickups will release Physical Thrills, their Butch Vig-produced sixth album. The band has shared “Scared Together,” the first single from Physical Thrills along with the new music video directed by Claire Marie Vogel. The band also confirmed that they will perform in cities including Atlanta, LA, Nashville, New York, and more.

Violinist MARISSA LICATA and her new band The Ragtag Collection will debut at The Cutting Room on Monday, August 1 at 7:00 PM. The Ragtag Collection features Bob Lanzetti (Snarky Puppy) on guitar, Dan Oestreicher (Trombone Shorty) on saxophone, Will Slater (Terri Lyne Carrington) on bass, and Joey Peebles (Trombone Shorty) on drums.

State Theatre New Jersey has announced the naming of its Green Room to the “Beasley Media Group Green Room” as part of the theater’s Next Stage Campaign. This naming commemorates Beasley Media Group’s commitment to the arts community and longtime support of State Theatre New Jersey, which is currently celebrating its 100th Anniversary Season.

Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band - Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette, Hamish Stuart and Edgar Winter - revealed the revised itinerary for their September tour, which now includes all 12 of the dates that they recently had to postpone.  The tour now begins September 5 at Tanglewood, in Lenox, MA.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater have announced jazz programming running June 21 through July 4. Artists appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include Stacey Kent, Ron Aprea Big Band, Tuck & Patti and Eyal Vilner Big Band.

Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band - Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette, Hamish Stuart and Edgar Winter - announced that two members have tested positive for Covid. Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band's concert on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 7:30P at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in Providence, RI has been postponed to September 2022.

When Tanglewood opens on June 17 for a full season of music-making for the first time since 2019, visitors will not be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative test result to gain access to the festival grounds or performance spaces.

Berklee College of Music honored pop culture icon Ringo Starr with an honorary degree during a tribute concert and ceremony held in person on Thursday. The event, which took place on campus at the David Friend Recital Hall in Boston, featured performances from Berklee students, introductory remarks from President Erica Muhl, and an acceptance speech from the Bealtes legend himself.
