Bespoke Plays is partnering with The 24 Hour Plays this Memorial Day weekend for a round of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues, featuring brand-new monologues written, rehearsed and recorded in 24 hours by 14 pairs of actors and playwrights.

The 24 Hour Plays has announced a special Cincinnati edition round of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues, which they will host in partnership with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, and featuring brand-new monologues written, rehearsed and recorded in 24 hours by 12 actors and playwrights.  

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will host a special edition tonight in support of Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC. The actors performing the series of Viral Monologues will include: Deborah S. Craig, Eugene Young, Francesca McKenzie, Jackie Chung, Ken Leung, Louis Ozawa, Manu Narayan, Maureen Sebastian, Pun Bandhu, and more.

On August 17, 2021, Criterion will release the documentary film Original Cast Album: Company, which follows the original Broadway cast and creative team of the musical into the recording studio, on DVD and Blu-ray.

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Musicals will premiere tonight. The actors performing the series of Viral Monologues will include: Allison Posner, Andrew Leeds, Anika Larsen, Bonnie Milligan, Chad Burris, Derek Klena, Derrick Baskin, Joél Pérez, Lennon Parham, Maria-Christina Oliveras, Melody A. Betts, and Robbie Fairchild.

The multidisciplinary arts organization based in the Florida Keys continues its innovative online conversation series streaming live each Wednesday from 6-7PM in May.

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will return tonight with an all new series of unforgettable monologues.  Thirteen actors have been paired with thirteen writers, who have crafted unique pieces especially for their actors. From 6 PM until 10 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.

While filming a virtual benefit for the York Theatre, Andre De Shields was surprised by two producers and a Senator.

Senator Brad Hoylman surprised the Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner André De Shields with a Senate Proclamation on Thursday April 8th, 2021 proclaiming the day “André De Shields Appreciation Day”. The surprise proclamation was arranged by producer Tom D’Angora to honor the extensive charity work Mr. De Shields has done for the community this year.

The York Theatre Company announced today an anonymous donor WILL match all donations this week up $50,000 as part of its “Rebuild The York” campaign which leads up to the Gala Benefit performance of THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS (THE MUSICAL!)…AND MORE!, which begins streaming on demand on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 7:00PM.
