2022 Holly Weird Film Festival Announces Lineup

The 4th annual Holly Weird Film Festival has announced the lineup for the 2022 season. Celebrating true original underground filmmaking, Holly Weird celebrates and showcases independent films of all genres that feature a distinct vision, a unique voice, or an avant-garde challenge to what is expected or accepted.

NADA Miami 2020 Concludes In-Person And Online Fair With Diverse International Presentations, Dynamic Programming, And High Viewership

NADA Miami, presented by the New Art Dealers Alliance, concluded its 2020 online and in-person fair on Saturday, December 5 with diverse international presentations, dynamic programming, and high viewership with 12,000 total visitors and nearly 350,000 total views. The eighteenth edition of the fair featured 97 exhibitors from 44 cities, including Brussels, Detroit, Lima, Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo, and Warsaw. AGLIFF 33: Prism 2020 Festival Jury Award Winners Announced

Celebrating its 37th anniversary, Outfest - the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBTQ stories on the screen - today announced the complete programming lineup for the 2019 Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival, presented by HBO. The nation's leading LGBTQ festival will be held July 18-28, 2019.

Toronto LGBT Film Festival, Inside Out, Announces Lineup

The 29th annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival (Inside Out), championing innovative LGBTQ filmmakers from across the globe, revealed its full feature and short film lineup. The announcement was made today by Inside Out's Executive Director Andria Wilson and the festival's Director of Programming Andrew Murphy. Inside Out, which launched the first ever annual LGBTQ Film Finance Forum, has established itself as an international home and incubator for LGBTQ emerging and established filmmakers. This year's festival will take place May 23 to June 2, 2019.

Tribeca Film Festival 2019 Announces Feature Film Lineup

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. The program includes discoveries, comedies, music-centered, political and social films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.

The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild(MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) has announced nominations for the 6th Annual MUAHS Guild Awards honoring outstanding achievements in make-up and hair styling in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater. Winners will be honored at the black-tie gala on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at The Novo by Microsoft at L.A. Live. Today's announcement was made by MUAHS Awards Chair Sue Cabral-Ebert.

NewYork-Presbyterian Trustee and Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz, and his wife Tina, served as trustee co-chairs of the evening's event, which raised over $1,000,000 in support of both NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and the Sloane Hospital for Women.

REDCAT Announces 9 New Premieres At The 2018 New Original Works Festival

REDCAT, CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts, presents the 15th annual New Original Works (NOW) Festival, a three-week celebration of Los Angeles' vibrant community of artists creating new contemporary performance work, July 19 to August 4, 2018. Patrons can see all three weekends with a $40 festival pass. Individual programs are priced at $20.
