Dance Events Announced For July at IF Milton Keynes International Festival

The International Festival has always been known for its creative use of Milton Keynes' distinctive urgan and green spaces and this year's dance events will take place at the Amphitheatre and Embankment Stage in Campbell Park, the Peace Pagoda at Willen Lake and the car part at the iconic Point Building.
Documental Theatre Will Air PROPS on Radio Stations This July

South West company, Documental Theatre has interviewed sixteen participants. These include, among others, a prisoner’s spouse, a support worker in a children’s home, the parent of a recovering alcoholic, a domestic worker sending money to her family overseas, a mother of an autistic adult, a Navy wife and a resettled Syrian who spent years trying to bring his mother to safety.

“What’s past is prologue” Prospero says in The Tempest, but when the present passes into the past what’s left is Will on the Hill and Far Away, the earnest and frequently successful effort by Congressmen to do Shakespeare funny. In this annual exercise, designed to raise funds for arts education, members of both Houses, as well as various other political luminaries (Washington is crawling with them), put themselves in preposterous situations which magically turn out well, just as characters in the Bard’s plays often do.

With the Rodeo coming back to Folsom for its 60th anniversary along with the Hometown Parade it only seems natural that Sutter Street Theatre add to the Historic All-American Celebration with a Melodrama titled “The Legend of Gold Rush Sal or Mud in the Street” along with an Oleo. In doing so Sutter Street Theatre celebrates the regions heritage.

Just when it reaches the point where it’s almost unbearable, the show takes a hard turn, cutting to a frustrated office worker named Jeremiah, who is in a psychiatric session trying to process his rage at living in an America where Black lives do not matter to everyone and where being gay is considered a “stain” by many in the Black community.
