Amazon.com Founder Jeff Bezos received the National Retail Federation's prestigious Gold Medal Award yesterday. This acknowledgement is a big big deal because the NRF's membership base is made up mainly of traditional brick-and-mortar retailers. Amazon has been a game changer in the industry in the past few years and a threat to those very same brick-and-mortar retailers. And now for the first time, an online retailer has claimed the award.

ABC Lands 2nd-Largest Audience Since Premiere Week

During the week of November 19, 2012, ABC ran in a virtual tie for No. 2 in Adults 18-49 with Fox (pacing within 1-tenth of a rating point and tied in audience share - 2.1/6 vs. 2.2/6), while beating CBS by 17% (1.8/5). In addition, the Net took second place ahead of CBS and Fox with Adults 25-54 and key Women (W18-49/W25-54).

Guggenheim Museum presents Gabriel Orozco: Asterisms, a two-part sculptural and photographic installation by the Mexican-born artist comprising thousands of items of detritus he gathered at two sites-a playing field near his home in New York and a protected coastal biosphere in Baja California Sur, Mexico, which is also the repository for flows of industrial and commercial waste from across the Pacific Ocean.

Discussing her roles on the hit HBO and Showtime series she has appeared on this year as well as her recent multi-episode stint on NBC's THE OFFICE, Purl sheds some light on her long and rich career and also shares stories from the sets of some of her most famous forays - HAPPY DAYS, VISITING HOURS and more included. Additionally, we shed some light on her upcoming two-night-stand at Feinstein's At Loews Regency, MIDNIGHT CARAVAN… TRAVELS THROUGH THE GREAT NEW YORK NIGHTCLUBS, with special guest Desi Arnaz, Jr., and she sets the stage for what we can expect from the noir-inspired cabaret piece featuring songs of the 1940s and 50s.
