The official music video for John Prine's song 'Lonesome Friends of Science' is premiering today. Illustrated by Barcelona-based graphic designer Tiago Majuelos and produced by Spanish animation production company BLISS, the video can now be watched below.

Aisha Jawando, who has been with the Company since its world premiere in Spring 2018, steps up to play the title role in TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL from 8 October 2019.  Having originally played Tina's sister Alline Bullock, Jawando has subsequently performed the iconic role of Tina at certain performances. 

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announced today the lineup of free Engagement Events surrounding the world premiere of 33 1/3 a?' House of Dreams. The REP's Engagement Event series includes community-focused conversations, actor talk-backs, musical performances and other activities intended to deepen the audience's engagement with the plays onstage.

Written by local San Diegans Jonathan Rosenberg and Brad Ross, with additional contributions by Steve Gunderson and Javier Velasco, the debut production chronicles the success of Gold Star Recording Studios through the history of rock 'n' roll.

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announced today that they will be partnering with the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SDSCPA) and R & R Productions, LLC for the world premiere musical 33 13 - House of Dreams. Written by local San Diegans Jonathan Rosenberg and Brad Ross, with additional contributions by Steve Gunderson and Javier Velasco, the debut production chronicles the success of Gold Star Recording Studios through the history of rock 'n' roll. The production will feature direction and choreography by Javier Velasco with musical direction and arrangements by Steve Gunderson. 33 13 - House of Dreams will run August 1 - 25, 2019, at San Diego REP's Lyceum Stage Theatre, with previews August 1 - 6, and press opening on Wednesday, August 7 at 7:00 p.m.

Acclaimed playwright/author Frank Stausser, who gained much praise during the very successful three month run of his stage comedy Physcho Therapy at The Cherry Lane Theater in New York City, is now gearing up for the July 9th release of his debut novel “Plastic”, being published by Los Angeles based independent publisher Rare Bird Books.

Four Chords and a Gun is an intense black comedy about the infamous punk band the Ramones written by John Ross Bowie (“The Big Bang Theory”, “Speechless”). The play reveals the drama-filled 1979 recording session that led to The Ramones album, End of the Century, produced by the eccentric gun wielding Phil Spector. The Canadian premier of this sometimes funny, sometimes wrenching, always gritty, story of how the world's greatest Punk album came to be is directed by long-time Toronto Star theatre critic and Stratford Festival director Richard Ouzounian. End of the Century was the album that skyrocketed the Ramones into the public eye, and in FOUR CHORDS AND A GUN writer John Ross Bowie delves into the strain and tension that came with its recording sessions. The collaboration between the Queens, New York band and infamous producer Phil Spector examines how The Ramones were torn apart by their own habits and Spector's divisive management.

Renowned theatre director and critic Richard Ouzounian returned to the Toronto arts scene once again this month with his production of FOUR CHORDS AND A GUN, a fictionalized account of what happened during the collaboration between the Ramones and infamous producer Phil Spector. The play investigates the dynamic between the band members, Spector's control over the musicians, and a love triangle between lead singer Joey, guitarist Johnny, and the fiery Linda.

Final casting is announced today (26 March 2019) for the second year West End Company of TINA - THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL.  Based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner, this hit production is playing to packed houses at the Aldwych Theatre and currently booking to 21 December 2019.

Jake Brennan, host and producer of the rock and roll true crime podcast 'Disgraceland,' and iHeartMedia, the No. 1 commercial podcast publisher globally with over 20,000 podcasts on its platform, today announced at the Winter Podcast Upfront a new partnership to bring listeners two additional seasons of “Disgraceland” to the iHeartPodcast Network. Season 3 will feature 10 episodes and will debut everywhere March 14 with part one of a two-part episode on Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, part two will follow on March 19. Subsequent new episodes will be released bi-weekly on Tuesdays beginning March 26 with an episode on Snoop Dogg. In addition, “Disgraceland” will debut the Season 3 premiere first on iHeartMedia broadcast radio stations across the U.S. on March 13 before it's available digitally on March 14.
