The Gershwins s'wonderful musical My One and Only tap dances its way onto the Wagner College Theatre Mainstage from February 21-March 3, 2019, under the direction of Ann Neiman (WCT's 42nd Street and Into the Woods), with choreography by John Scacchetti (Broadway's 42nd Street and Gypsy revivals) and music direction by David Sisco (WCT's Hair and La Cage aux Folles).

Highwood's 16th Season sails ahead at full speed with a special engagement of Maury Yeston and Peter Stone's musical TITANIC - running from March 15 - 24, 2019 in downtown Silver Spring. This reinvented ensemble version of the show is brought to life by an exceptional cast of local 3rd through 12th grade actors, working on a historic, moving production led by a student-driven production team.

Following the first ever UK & Ireland tour of Titanic The Musical in 2018, the production will return in 2019 for a European tour. After opening at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking on 11 July 2019, the production led by returning director Thom Southerland will tour across the continent until 1 September 2019.

Having seen the musical HAMILTON when it was in Los Angeles, like many others I learned more important details about the founding fathers while watching it than I felt I had ever learned in school. 1776 is a show that appreciates in value and import when viewed in the context of its time. It opened on Broadway in 1969 when Richard Nixon was president, the controversial war in Vietnam raged on, and civil unrest was the domestic order of the day. With that backdrop, it's popularity was unexpected, yet it ran for 1,217 performances and won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Regeneration Theatre announces a fully staged revival of the infamous 1960s musical SKYSCRAPER will play Urbanstages' Theatre at 30th Street in May 2019, directed and choreographed by Chad Austin, the newly announced Artistic Director of Abingdon Theatre.
