Louis Scaglione, President and Music Director of PYO Music Institute (PYOMI), has announced that they have received the 2022 Grant for Arts Projects Award from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to support Tune Up Philly --  (Orchestral Pathways Program (TUP).

It is always a thrill to perform in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Cultural Campus, especially for the student musicians in Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, the most advanced ensemble of PYO Music Institute. They return to the hall on April 24, at 7 p.m. The ensemble, conducted by Maestro Louis Scaglione, has earned nationwide acclaim for their development of young musicians.

Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, has selected its four finalists for the 2022 Premiere Play Festival. Now in its 17th year, the Festival is an annual competition for unproduced scripts that offers developmental opportunities to playwrights with strong affiliations to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware. This year's finalists were selected from 655 submissions.

The PYO Music Institute, one of the oldest and most respected orchestra programs in the nation, is announcing their schedule for in-person auditions.  Music students, age 6 to 21, are invited to participate in one of PYOMI's six, large ensemble programs.
