Westport Country Playhouse Stages Award-Winning Dramedy 4000 MILES

Westport Country Playhouse will stage “4000 Miles,” a Pulitzer Prize finalist and Obie Award-winning comedy/drama, written by Amy Herzog and directed by David Kennedy Playhouse associate artistic director, from August 23 – September 4. The four-member cast for “4000 Miles” features Mia Dillon as Vera Joseph with Clay Singer as Leo Joseph-Connell, Lea DiMarchi as Bec, and Phoebe Holden as Amanda.

HBO Max to Debut Paul Newman And Joanne Woodward Documentary THE LAST MOVIE STARS

Four-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke, who previously directed the highly-acclaimed documentary, “Seymour: An Introduction,” directs the six-part documentary. Academy Award-winning director, writer and producer Martin Scorsese serves as executive producer. THE LAST MOVIE STARS premiered at SXSW followed by Cannes in May.

First Off-Broadway Production of CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF to Open This July

Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, in a new production by Ruth Stage, will play The Theater at St. Clements (423 W. 46th Street) beginning previews July 15, and opening night is set for July 24. The original scheduled run of this production, which had been announced for January, 2022, was postponed due to the ongoing health crisis.

Vintage Theatre to Present CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF

“Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” is the scorching drama surrounding a Southern family in crisis, especially for Brick and his wife “Cat.” When the family gathers in the oppressive Mississippi heat to celebrate Big Daddy’s birthday, old secrets, sexual tensions, and hidden agendas swell just beneath the sweaty surface. Tennessee Williams’ searing, poetic portrait of a family’s fight for survival is a twentieth century masterpiece.

THE STING Premieres Locally With The Beverly Theatre Guild

The Beverly Theatre Guild is set to stage a production of 'The Sting' by David Rogers. This will be the local premiere of the play. Performances will take place at Morgan Park Academy Arts Center, 2153 W. 111th Street, Chicago on Fri. Feb. 11th & Sat. Feb. 12th @ 7:30 pm and Sun. Feb. 13th @ 2 pm. Actor Joel Jackson Will Star in THE GLASS MENAGERIE For Black Swan

Black Swan State Theatre Company of WA have announced that Logie and Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Award winning actor and musician Joel Jackson will join the cast as Tom Wingfield - The Glass Menagerie. Joel will join one of Australia's most loved actors Mandy McElhinney (Wakefield, Love Child, Paper Giants), and Bridie McKim (The Cherry Orchard, ABC's The Heights).
