Williamstown Theatre Festival announced today additional casting and creative team members for the 2022 Summer Season, the final two Fridays@3 readings, and fellowships.

As part of their commitment to reducing barriers to participation and access, Williamstown Theatre Festival has announce a new affordable-tickets pilot program for the 2022 Season: AccessTix.

Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced two special events for the 2022 summer season, an extension of Man of God due to popular demand, dates and programming for the Fridays@3 reading series, as well as creative teams and casting for Man of God, Most Happy in Concert, and we are continuous. 

Yale Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2022 season with Between Two Knees. The play, written by the intertribal sketch comedy troupe The 1491s and directed by Eric Ting, is presented with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Between Two Knees will be performed May 12–June 4 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).

Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced Mike Lew as the recipient of the 2022 L. Arnold Weissberger New Play Award for his play tiny father. Lew will receive the $10,000 award and the accompanying $10,000 Jay Harris Commission to write a new play.

Offering audiences a sneak peak of author Rex Pickett's hilarious new musical, these two alfresco concerts will take place on the grounds of the Winery's historic property in Sonoma with performances by four of Broadway's brightest new stars including Devin Archer (Miss Saigon), Audrey Cardwell (Falsettos; Bright Star), Nicholas Edwards (Frozen; Last 5 Years) and Emily Goglia (Grease, Live!; STAGES).

The third annual French Riviera Film Festival, will present a special Lifetime Achievement Award to Oscar-winning actor George Chakiris and Industry Excellence Awards to Caroline Lagerfelt and Eric Roberts, at an exclusive ceremony on July 14 at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, the announcement was made today by festival founders Gotham Chandna and Nicole Goesseringer Muj.

The Cape Cod Theatre Project (CCTP) continues to bring extraordinary playwriting talent to the Cape this July with Season 27, featuring its 100th play. The season will once again be presented in an all-virtual format with a mix of emerging and established playwrights. This year, CCTP welcomes new and in-progress works by Bill Cain, Amy Evans, Selina Fillinger and Mike Lew who explore themes of identity, hidden secrets, far-reaching love, as well as birth and death.

John Lithgow is featured in a special, new audio recording released by 92Y: a reading of William Maxwell’s novel, So Long, See You Tomorrow. The novel is Lithgow’s personal favorite, and in the recording, commissioned by 92Y’s Unterberg Poetry Center, the Emmy Award-winner reads it in its entirety.

HB Studio—one of New York's original institutions for theater training and practice—has appointed Paul Pryce as director of its annual acting intensive, the Hagen Core Training program. The program, which was rescheduled amid safety concerns, will now be held online with a hybrid training option, beginning Jan. 4.

Actor Paul Giamatti brings Herman Melville's classic short story, Bartleby, the Scrivener, to life in a new audio recording released today by the 92nd Street Y Unterberg Poetry Center.

Author Jan Eliasberg will be the special guest for The Los Angeles Public Library/Westwood Branch On-line Author Talk/Event on Saturday, Oct 17, 2pm-3pm PT via Zoom.  This event is free.    

The Cape Cod Theatre Project (CCTP) announces that Academy Award-nominee Paul Giamatti, and Golden Globe-nominee and star in Showtime's Billions, Corey Stoll will perform in playwright Kevin Artigue's, I, My Ruination, directed by CCTP Artistic Director Hal Brooks. The play will be live-streamed on July 23rd and 25th at 7:00pm and patrons can attend the performances via an All Access Pass with a donation of $100 or more. A limited number of individual performance passes will also be made available later this month.
